I think it is a great idea. It would supplement Geoff's retirement and I need a cover!
I think it is a great idea (of course! LOL)....could perhaps send a bunch of Jetboaters.net flags and have them stitched into the back center of the covers!!!

I will cover the cost to send them to Utah. I also saved the cleat reinforcements. Please start a conversation with me and send me your friend's mailing address. If you need any cleat reinforcements just let me know how many.

I'm not sure what the Postage would be but if your Boats the same model i could have one made for you if you wanted me to, If it's a different model he will need your cover to copy it. It's quite a heavy Canvass so the postage may be expensive.

Initially I was thinking that we both have 230s. But mine is the later model. I bet that like carpet, the covers are not interchangeable.

Based on the amount of EBay and Amazon items that I see coming directly from Asia it must be cheaper for you to mail to the U.S. than it is for us to mail to you.

If this is a business that you want to get into I have a newer 230 cover to make a template from.

I'm sure there is a cheaper way to send items as you say, I need to check a little deeper, Normal postage to the USA or England isn't cheap, It's not my intention to get into any business but if i can help by getting one made for members then I'm prepared to sort that out.

I would certainly like to have one that well made at that price for my boat. @Geoff Cooper our boats are the same except mine is black and without a tower. I think my current cover is a ticking time bomb ready to go at any moment. The way things have been going with the trailer lately it's bound to happen soon.

Do i take it that you don't need the Velcro opening for the tower then it just goes straight along?

IMG_3419.JPG You can see where the Velcro opens at the bottom of the front tower support, It looks like a thin black line, Are you sure everything else is the same, What about the back where the Bimini collapses is that the same?

IMG_3422.JPG

I will need to talk to the Guy about venting it as i used my old vents and cleat surrounds, I have to go there to see him today he has made a Tonnau cover for my friends pick up and i need to pick it up so i will have a word and get back to you.

Have you ran across a shop that has embroidery machines? With the JB's logo, it would be awesome to have it sewn in. That would ruin the waterproofing though....not sure how that would work.

No velcro openings at all. Just the cleat and vents. My bimini has 2" short legs that keep it off the fiberglass when it's laid all the way down to be covered and travel. I'll get some pics this weekend and more then likely send them to you through a PM. See if you can find out what his color options are. The red looks great on your red boat. Since my boat is black a cover in black would be an obvious choice, but would also be very hot in the Texas sun. My current Yamaha cover is a gun metal grey and isn't too bad. I only cover the boat when I trailer or when I leave it in a guest slip overnight. The rest of the time it's uncovered in my garage.

We have big storms here at the moment with 3 Boats sunk already and rain for 24 hours so far and i mean rain, Many places are flooded but I'm ok and Boat shed fine also, When it stops i will go and see the man as i never went this morning because of weather i will go as soon as it's stopped raining and take some Photos of the color charts, Send me the Photos when you have time, My Bimini has the same size posts as you.

Would need to make the logo on a small panel to enable it to get under the machine, I will do some homework.

Stay safe @Geoff Cooper . I'm in no hurry.
Ok i went to see the man today about a cover he says no problem to make without the tower holes, Color wise i couldn't get any Photos as the charts are at his other Workshop, He does that red i had and a very nice dark Blue a deep blue it looked very nice, He also does black and some more also, He says he will bring the charts for me to Photo for you next week as now he's very busy making a Boat interior for a boat in Korea that someone has ordered, I just told him i would call back, He has no vents or cleat surrounds but he says he can maybe locate them so that's a start, I need to find a cheap way of posting the cover to you so that's the next thing to do then you can work out if it's worth it, I think the Bimini supports are the same as i don't see any reason for Yamaha to change that, Here's a Photo of mine for you to compare.
