and no removable seadeck for the 242 x series?

It will have removable Seamat (not seadek....looks and feels identical). They told me they were trying to have that for last year, just couldn't get it done in time.....

The removable seamat is just like seadek. They only decided to make it removable so you could easily replace it if it were damaged....and clean it easier IF you wanted to. I suspect most would just leave it in and hose it off--rarely removing it.
Right, but you really need to take Seamat out anytime it gets wet, I don't see how you would get it to dry (underneath it) otherwise. Seadek is easy, you hose it off and let it dry, no moisture underneath.

just so I am not confused, seadek is the stick on permanent stuff, like on our swim patforms. Having that throughout the boat seems to me to be a better solution, the carpets I have are a pain

did they change the 242 x series floor material or is it the same

sorry if I am not getting it :)

we should be able to get on audio like I do at work, skype for business lol

Looks like the 19' boats still have the flush out port inside the boat like on current models. Personally I don't like it moved out back but do wished it was mounted higher so I didn't have to remove my seat cushion.

I noticed it wasn't on the stern in all the photos, but they told me in person they'd moved them on all the models....so perhaps it is just a case of timing of the pics???? Time will tell.

Overall, I'd have to say I'm impressed!

Always love seeing the changes and upgrades they make for the new boats, but I don't get the snap in "Seamat". One of the biggest issue I had with snap-in carpet, was all the crud that collects under it. I'll stick to my Seadek all day long. Hose it off and youre done! Glad they are at least attempting to solve the plug issue. Time will tell! Thanks Julian!

Glad they are at least attempting to solve the plug issue.

Short of the plug breaking (which would be very unlikley as it is SOLID)--this will solve the plug blow out problem! Unless you just drop it in there and don't twist it-which would also be boneheaded as it will look wrong being at an angle.

Thanks for the scoop on the 2017 models @Julian.
I'm curious, did Yamaha decide to fix the battery voltage issue with the Connext display?

I don't see removeable Seamat being any better than carpet IMO, you still have to pull it up to clean dirt/sand/Cheetos from under it, not to mention it being wet under there and getting moldy or nasty without pulling it up to dry it.
It may feel better than carpet but that'd be the only plus it seems....I'll just keep my AR230 with SeaDek:-)

I guess you could just glue it down? But that would be messy.....would be nice if they had just installed it....

@JetBoatPilot What's your take on the new flooring? Is this new Sea- Dek material available to you? Plans of a 'glue sheet' in the works for 2017 owners that want their flooring glued down?

Thanks @Julian for your time, much appreciated.

What are Yamaha thinking, flushing points on the rear deck? Talk about over thinking a problem, there's room to just move them a few inches higher of there original position.
Really disappointed with 2017, why not real improvements, small window in the storage/head compartment maybe? Integral trash bin, high res Connext, improved reverse bucket, table pedestal holder in front bow area, centre bow cleat.......

@Julian I can't believe you left off another standard feature across all models (excluding the FSH for obvious reasons) but they all come with hinged seats! Finally!! :winkingthumbsup":winkingthumbsup":winkingthumbsup":winkingthumbsup"
