GO9 anyone put in flush in a FSH 21 yet? or with the radar?

I mounted the totalscan transducer on the bottom of the ride plate for the port engine. It is attached to a 3/4in spacer I created from resin covered oak (instead of starboard). This allowed me to to secure it to the ride plate with 3M VHB tape so I didn't have to drill holes into the ride plate. No issues in saltwater so far.

I was considering that location to mount my Totalscan transducer (arriving tomorrow). What side of the ride plate did you mount it to (inboard or outboard)? Does it side image OK to the starboard side? I'm was concerned about the keel blocking the view some.

Outboard ride plate, does not seem to impact the side scan from the limited testing I have tried. The boat has been in the water, mainly saltwater, a half dozen times since it was installed and it is holding up great. I will probably pull it off to smooth out the block it is mounted to and want to add a bead of 3M 4000 around the VHB to help prevent any future water impact.

I considered that but was concerned that the side scan would be reversed. I left about a 1/2 in space in front of the block so that the wire would have room to make the bend without stressing the wire. The block is a piece of 3/4" oak coated with resin.

well the front and back would change also. but there is a way to turn it around on your unit I saw it somewhere ill look for it and post it here.
If it works there that is where ill mount it. I was wondering how thick that block was so I could do the same and have the sidescan work

Ah okay, I was hoping there would be a way to swap them on the unit, good to know! Yeah it has worked perfect there but I have only tested with the side scan for a short period of time. Just as a note, I have no problem with readings all the way to top speed, every once in a while when in neutral or reverse it will stop reading due to the water turbulence.

Interesting, yeah I did and had no issues with picking up satellites.

Do you have that radar installed yet? How does it do for weather? Incoming rain and storms?

I think I need the hard top to mount the radar. That is all going to have to wait till the winter. We have 3 or 4 months to use the boat up here and I want to use it not have it in my driveway during this time. Nobody wants to weld to the powder coated Aluminum on the T-top frame.

My GO9 is working without the external antenna. Just a FYI. It looks great and get compliments on it all the time.

Just put my GO9 in my 210 FSH the other day. Just working on where and how for the Totalscan transducer.

This is the home run spot according to Simrad (the red rectangle). Mine is much better now with proper angle and depth, but havent moved it over yet. One more test before I move it over where the rectangle is. About 2 inches over on mine.
