2018 Bimini June trip (June 24th - June 30th)

Is anyone using that airport parking or is everyone parking at Harbour Town

I think Harbour town makes it easier on the way back. Last year we had people park at the airport though.

Have fun and safe crossing, everyone. I have a question that is probably best as it's own post but I just sold my 2013 SX190 and I'm looking at a 2015 AR240 - one of the reasons for upgrading is to make Bimini an annual trip.

My question is the 21ft vs the 24ft boats and how they handle rough water or a crossing like last year. Does the extra three feet and weight make a huge difference? Specifically the newer boats with the articulating keel since that's what I'm eyeing. Any advice is greatly appreciated since I'm looking to pick one up ASAP - thanks in advance!

@dragonfire6 when it comes to crossing the gulf stream, bigger and newer is better. I've done it 3 times with my '15 AR240. Other than the 2017 return, all crossings were quite uncomfortable, so I can only assume that older hull designs and shorter lengths would be worse.

It will make a huge difference .Go for the bigger boat.

6 boats launched and parked at harbourtown about an hour ago. Enjoying lunch with a view now. Cyas this evening, I'll be bringing the Bimini shirts and trading them for beers.

There are people desperately searching for parking today. Reserve and use the airport parking. No reason to make life harder.

Does anyone have an extra ugly, orange, Coast gaud approved life jacket we could borrow for the trip there and back (to harbor Towne)? We were so fortunate to have someone at harbor Towne help, but they will need theirs back prior to crossing (I know the wife is Lauren...thank you!!!) If anyone has an extra, our senseless crew member would be forever in your debt..
And yes, @ThatJeepGuy has already grilled him for his negligence lol.
