I purchased the combo deal, any chance of getting my lateral thrusters shipped out since it’s sounding like it will be another month or more of boating before the TV wakes ship?

This was the first I had heard of the "click". Do you think you were feeling/hearing the fins hit the up-stop? I was wondering if we would notice that or not. You would think that once up, they would have pressure on them constant. But I suppose it is possible, depending on spring pressure, for them to bounce against that up-stop and click.

Thanks for the insight.
Click came from the helm area. It sounded like the extra heavy caused the cables to be less responsive and perhaps create a little slack causing the clicking. It only happened when initially turning the wheel to change direction. I'm just speculating and sharing my thoughts when it happened. Based on the FB video Will put out today it seems like it's a mute point. He shows driving with two fingers which would be difficult with my current config.

Moot/mute... Hopefully there aren't any editors out there.

That's a great response to clarify. My stock boat will do that once in a while too. I am under the impression that I have some wear on my steering components that may need to be tightened up, or replaced. That would be good to do that prior to my install, so that I can eliminate variables.

Yes, Will's video of the two finger steering was money! That's the way it should be, and am glad to see it happening. (not that we doubted it could be done)

If it was only one click, did it do this without the fins?

It could be your steering cable connection behind the helm, I had a cable mounting nut come loose causing slack in the cable when I would start a turn,

You could easily disconnect the cable at the nozzle to help troubleshoot if it's nozzle or cable/wheel related,

To be completely transparent I have to say that the steering wheel still required a bit of force to turn with two fingers, but the point of the video was to show that it was dramatically lighter. I just don't want people to think that we were trying to misrepresent our improvement. Is there feel in the wheel with the new parts? Yes...... Is it overwhelming? No, in my opinion, not at all.

I tried to turn the wheel in my truck headed home last night and it felt about the same as what I felt on the boat today.

We hope to get it done before the end of the month. Just depends on how fast our vendors can move on these revised parts.

I hope they get shipped out! We have another long weekend coming up and I have some excited tubers that are constantly asking if I installed the part that will stop the water from spraying them yet...

Is the heavy steering also on the twin engine? I have a 2017 AR240 with my TVWake sitting in the garage waiting to be installed but I'm a little hesitant right now

I'm in the same situation as you. I wasn't able to install mine this past weekend, and I'm wondering if I should hold off until Will has a final solution, and that I have said final solution in my hands.

yeah, it's sitting there taunting me. I know I would be pissed if I did install them and then it was really bad and I could have waited

It's my understanding that only the white deflectors will be different. you can start the rest of the install.

I am going to back out the upstop bolts a little in the meantime. This should help by allowing the fins to rise a little higher when at speed.

Can't test until next weekend.

That video really doesn't help, the camera angle is too narrow. Also how fast (are the fins out of the water)? How many degrees to each side? Can you do a more aggressive turn in the video it just looks like you see playing with wheel slack.
