Before I go crazy on the Yeti site and buy all sorts of new goodies. Does anyone have any insight on not paying full price? Would love to get connected with someone who has a discount or even a promo code they could share. Thanks in advance!

Ozark trail.

My yeti connection is Coleman marine extreme coolers and rtic and Ozark cups bottles and coozies. Easy 50+% off for the same performance.

I bought a Giantex knock off to fit under the FSH leaning post. Holds ice almost as well as my Pelican, close to a Yeti. It was like $120 for the 40 qt.

Checkout rtic. They are just as good if not better and significantly less. I have both Yeti and Rtic products and actually I prefer the rtic. My rtic soft cooler will hold ice all day easily.

Engel's are good ones too. I've had mine in the back of my truck daily for 5 years and looks good as the day I bought it.

I've got all Coleman coolers. Nearly the same performance as the Yeti's and Pelican's I've used for a fraction of the cost.

I've found most day boaters don't need to hold I've for 3days, they need those drinks to be cold for 12-16hrs and thier lunch meat to not spoil between breakfast load up and dinner grilling on the water. Even really cheap inefficient coolers will typically get that done.

More ice is usually still less expensive than a large cooler over a couple seasons.

Edit.....if OP still wants a premium cooler, I have an uncle that is an authorized Pelican Dealer.

RTIC is having a 70% off on their SS Tumblers: 30 oz $9, 20 oz $7.5. I like these as they're straw friendly. Much easier to drink from when on plane (in all kinds of chop - no banging your lips) :winkingthumbsup"

How does this tumbler make it easier to drink without banging your lips? (Veteran bimini crosser with older RTIC tumbler wants to know)

Use a straw. Works great!

In the slot (to sip from) there is a circular opening in the middle where a straw would go.

I’ll admit I’m a yeti fanboy. They give a 20% discount to military, veterans, and first responders.

Shameless plug for my Brother Alistair's and Jason- @Island Jay business:

They have a bunch of Lake destination mugs and other beach themed ones.....I'm trying to get them to add Jetboaters.net ones too..... 0075_WINTERSUCKS_30oz_tumbler_royal_1400x.jpg

@Bruce They can add Jetboaters.net ones but we need a single color logo....and I'm not sure we have that...??? @Williamsone46
The other guys will put any logo, name or image you want on them (for a small fee). Just saying...

If your willing to spend the money on a 242x, spend the money to get a real cooler...... YETI.
My Tunra 45 fits perfect on the box of my 212x.

Yeti is not a 'real cooler' any more than another brand. There's little sense in spending that kind of money other than the aesthetics or liking the brand recognition that you think others revere you for.

RTIC is already half-price Yeti. Ozark trail is 95% as good but a good bit uglier, and another half price or more off from RTIC.

It all depends on your goals. I think all roto molded coolers are silly, even there cheap ones. They weigh a lot, they don't hold much, and they cost way more. My Coleman marine extreme still has ice after a long day in 120+ heat and only cost 80 bucks. If you are in a multi day expedition you might need something better, but my 20yo Coleman extreme holds ice for over 5 days when I'm camping with normal temps in the 70-80v range.

Just went through this and did the research. The only thing better about Yeti is the warranty. RTIC is a better cooler for cheaper. There are cheaper options than both that have reviews of holding ice longer. I ended up with the RTIC because I liked the design of the handles and it fits perfect in my storage door.

For the sake of argument, let’s just assume I’ve decided on Yeti. I’m adding to stuff I already have and prefer to stick with the brand as they make great stuff. I got most of it on Craigslist and pay less than most of the brands already mentioned. But there are a few new items I want to pick up and would like to stick with the theme of not paying full price. Anyone with a lead on discounts shoot me a message. Thx for the input thus far.
