Anyone ever removed intake grate from Scarab 195?

Trying to remove intake grate on Scarab. There are 2 small bolts and 2 bigger bolts. The two big bolts are turning but not backing out. Only thing I can think of is a nut inside the bilge that they are not coming out.

I believe that's correct, I recall someone here commenting the access to those nuts inside the bilge side is difficult/obstructed (?)

Yeah I could not find any way to access them at all from the bilge. Have a twig I need to remove. Hopefully impeller will just chew it up good. ??‍♂️

What are you trying to do? Is something wedged up in there? I assume?

I remember reading about this recently but can't find it. Try looking on FB Chaparral Vortex Group. Someone (somewhere) was talking about it. Maybe it was you?
 
Everything you want to know in the attached image. Essentially, do not take the grate off! Easier to go through the jet pump as others have mentioned. As they also say in the Facebook image, if they are spinning, you'll need to now potentially re-seal the bolts.
