I know. But he has deep pockets and lots of things for me to fix. This side by side is a 21 and has 25000 miles on it.
He has 400 acres and raises 200 head of cattle at a time. As a hobby.
If i have to spend time cleaning it costs them more. Lol
Probably more miles than 10 owners combined…
Perhaps next project is a wash rack? Hey, if the customer wants to pay for you to clean it then so be it.
I saw bikes at dirt bike shops that people took in that were beyond filthy… I had to laugh one time, this customer had brought in a bike that was caked, and I mean caked with mud. The mechanic just chiseled off the are that he needed access to and made the repair. When the owner showed up he was pissed that his bike was still filthy dirty, the owner of the shop told him we fix mechanical problems, washing the bike is your responsibility and by the way you got charged an hour of labor just to get access to what was broken. When I took my bikes in to get worked on they were spotless..

If i have to powerwash something before i work on it, i charge. I tell people before hand dont bring something that leaves my shop a mess or they will pay. When they see my shop they get it 100%

The next few days are going to be jam packed! We have doctors appointments for my wife, packing to be done, traveling to sign some final papers for the house closing and the holiday. So before I forget....from my family and the club, Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays to everyone! redneck xmas copy.png

And a big Merry Christmas to you sir!!!

It's that season again, Winter. Walking our woods, tapping and fixing downed pipelines. Been here 34 years and I am still amazed by the people that lived here 150+ years ago. The stone walls and homesteads they built in what is now a hardwood forest make me pause and wonder about their lives up here, after the Civil War. Ya, I have done my share of picking stones from a freshly plowed field, but not to the extent of what is out here.

The Brock cellar hole is one of five and a favorite. Middle of picture. Their barn foundation is to the left.

I brought some stones home to for a daily reminder of the work it took. Every stone hand picked from the property.
