Fantastic shot!!!!! Capturing the dragonfly is awesome!

Somehow I can hear Sir David Attenborough narrating this scene…

Looks like the “handle” on that massive camera lens can be swung around so it can be surfed on a tripod?
Full disclosure...I knew there were bugs flying around based on how the green heron was behaving, but catching the dragonfly like that was mostly luck. And yes, the handle is for tripod use, although I'm 99% handheld in what I do. Once in a while I'll put it on a tripod for a picture of the moon.
 
First outing on my first boat... Family had a blast...

I launched from Newport Dunes ramp. And the pic was about 200 yards from the bridge. We were about a quarter mile from the ramp in the picture.
