We went for a late day ride to a new watering hole (The Cove) on Lake Poygan. It was sunny, upper 70’s, and almost no wind - pretty much perfect. Since the boat is an hour away from where we live we don’t really hit the water after work but this was fun. Sat outside and had a pizza and a couple of drinks.

Had you been to Captain's Cove before? Haven't been able to get over there this year, but it's great to hear the new owners are doing food, might be a great spot to be able to add to the rotation, and a possible stop on the way home from the sandbar!
Is that an adolescent Bald Eagle?Cruising the river a few days ago, saw a couple of neighbors chatting along the fence line...

Sure is, despite what @drewkaree 's "expert" neighbor might tell you! That guy hatched this spring in a nest in that horse's field, in a tree right on the shoreline. There are actually two from that nest this year, after zero last year and one the year before...which is all about normal I think. The nest closer to my house had one this year, and three last year which is a lot more unusual. Is that an adolescent Bald Eagle?
