It was a perfect day on the water yesterday in upstate NY. No sign of snow yet, contrary to popular belief...

it's a Canon 200-800mm. A beast.
Full disclosure...I knew there were bugs flying around based on how the green heron was behaving, but catching the dragonfly like that was mostly luck. And yes, the handle is for tripod use, although I'm 99% handheld in what I do. Once in a while I'll put it on a tripod for a picture of the moon.
Where do you launch from and which cove is that?
