Can anyone confirm what this is used for

I think it connects to the inlet port to flush cooling system. And can I connect a hose to one and run motor to ck out when out of water. I saw a you tube vid on connecting to the back port and flushing for winter. Is the top connection used for this also ? I can’t find this top port in the owners manual

maybe @Julian would know, I think he had an older seadoo at one point,

our Yamaha's have a cap on the flush port otherwise while under normal use the pressure of the cooling would push water back through them

Never owned a Seadoo sorry, but looked at a lot of them. Not sure what "port" @JefO is referring to. That looks like the flush port in the photo....it should have a cap that you want on there when not flushing.

What other port are you referring to? A photo would be helpful.

Yes, that was the set up on my seadoo sportster, that should be your flushing port.

Looks like your Flux Capacitor. When you get her up to 88 mph you can go back in time.

You can flush through the back on the pump too. There is a threaded port that takes a hose. I had a permanent quick connect on it to make flushing easier.

Yes the back one by the pump is the one I wondered if it should have a cap as it looks Lito if I use the top port to flush it would just come out the back unless there is a check value ?

No valve cap. It's part of the exhaust path and water flows out when engine is on and you are not flushing. It back flushes the exhaust when used for flushing.
