Thats really good informations, thank you. Is there another shop that is reputable? Whats the issue with SBT?

If you search SBT on the forum here you'll find some posts of people having problems with their SBT engines failing after a year. Sadly due to covid I think SBT has been the quickest turnaround time, though. I am unsure on finding any other replacements or reputable shops though, sorry! Hopefully someone will chime in with an answer.

What about buying a jet ski with similar motor and swapping them have that motor rebuilt and sell the ski

I have had a few mention that, I guess its a common thing?

The problem is that WaveRunners are pretty expensive right now unless you could find one with hull damage.

Why even pull plugs on fresh water?

Because mineral build up still occurs and the skirt still swells when sitting in water. I can testify to that as I rebuilt my 2016 plugs last year because I wasn't diligent enough with pulling the plugs and one was getting to the point I was having difficulty pulling it out at all! Fortunately the rebuild is cheap! (heck...all they really need to sell if the rubber ring!)
