I'm loving these 25 footers. I love my 242 but this gives me a tinge of envy!

242's are beautiful also, and what made me originally fall in love with Yamaha. I lusted over a 242 for about four years before finally decided to pull the trigger last June (totally unrelated to Covid, but thought Covid might help me get a better deal...oops). Come to find out, I had missed the run on boats by a few weeks and couldn't find one in stock anywhere. By July, I got wind that the 24 ft boats were going to be re-designed so I just sat tight. I put my deposit on this 252SE in August when they were first unveiled and was lucky enough to get it in mid-September, been loving it ever since.

What's that you're swimming with in the third picture, some kind of breathing apparatus? It looks interesting.

It's called the Blu3 Nemo. Basically a 10ft hose with a floating compressor that only runs when you breathe in and it runs off a battery. It will last a bit over an hour. You really need a weight belt just like a scuba setup. Weights in my pocket didn't cut it. I bought two on Black Friday and this was the first time we used them. Very cool!

Wow that looks fantastic. Michigan sucks!

82* air temp and 42* water temp... first day of fishing on the lake.. 1-27” northern pike, 1-20” lake trout ( first I’ve ever caught), and 8 really nice rainbow trout. Trolled all the way around the lake, 10 miles approximately on the Rip Tide Ulterra, that’s the first time I’ve ever run the battery bank down to where the hand held battery indicator showed red. Lot’s of folks showing up throughout the day to enjoy the first really warm day of the season on the lake. Glad I went yesterday, I’m sure today will be busy. Lot’s of nice folks on the lake!

That’s the Northern Pike in the live well... tried to get a pic before putting it back in the lake, but it had other plans and removed itself from my hands and took once bounce on the swim steps before hitting the water and gone.

The lake trout was a handful as well....

I’m really impressed at how well the live well performs... I can put trout in there that I think are goners for sure and check on them in a while and they‘re as pert as a ruttin buck. This time the pike was bleeding pretty good and thought there were going to be Pike fillets at the end of the day but it recovered very well. I did keep the live well fill pump running all day as opposed to running the aerator, and jet let the water flow in and out through the overflow. And if you’ve never had pike, it is really good. Reminds me of swordfish. We put in at 9 AM and took the boat out at 5 PM. All in all a great day out on the lake.

I would be scared to get within 3' of a northern pike much less handle one. Yikes.
