The family and I went to Higgins Lake a few years ago. The water is so clear. You are correct about it being like swimming pool water. You made the trip from Texas?

yessir..stayed up near kalkaska for 3 weeks, got back yesterday.
stopped at table rock lake on way home. nice to have warm water that you can just dive into, but already miss the clear stuff.
