Raleigh Boat Show

Just my 2 cents worth ..........
Many times, IF you have a close personal relationship with YOUR Yamaha dealer, he just might "spot you" tickets for the show.

We were "gifted" about 10 tickets from our dealer, whom most of y'all know, for the Atlanta show. He even gave Barbie and me "Booth passes" like we were with his company, so we could come & go for all 4 days, altyho we only went for 1 (And then "returned" these expensive passes back to hi, even tho they had our names on them.).

Then he INVITED us to drive over to Birmingham for the big Alabama show.

So having a good relationship with your wonderful dealer can mean a whole lot more than just getting an oil change done quickly.

Ask around ......... y'all might be surprised (at what you might receive) !

Best Wishes, Mikey Lulejian - Lake Oconee, GA

I've only been to my local dealer once....and ended up taking my boat back and fixing it myself (I took it there as I was super busy and thought they'd get to it before I could). So I have no relationship with them.

Back in Chicago my local dealer's owner helped me find my current boat (his Credit Manager was selling it)....

work didn;t get in the way for me today. @justason and I went down to the show. I met the District Sales Mgr from Yamaha and traded contact info with him. Also talked with him about supporting our Bimini trip. Posted about that on the Bimini post.

Walked through the 24 footer. Love that boat.

They had the Chaps there and looked at the 23 footer. I didn't like those at all. Really just the looks of the interior didn't do much for me. oh well.

Not much else exciting at the show. I just like kicking the tires and checking things out,

@waterboy district sales manager was Ray, not Ralph.......NO T-SHIRT FOR YOU!
Boat shows are evil....highly impressed with the PURSUIT 325..for a mere 258K

@justason, looks like you brought a brochure home to show the wife. Did it work? The boat show here in STL is later this month. I'm not in the market for a new boat but there is always a good showing of accessories there. It also helps to satisfy my needs during the winter.

I went to check it out this afternoon. It was pretty quiet, which was great for me. Didn't have to wait to get on any of the boats. I must have talked to Ray for abot an hour. We just sat there in the Limited chatting away about the evolution of Yamaha jetboats. He's been with them for around 27 years or so and had some great stories. I really liked the limited a lot. Especially when compared to the Chap Vortex. The vortex seating just seemed so uncomfortable and rigid. Cobalt had a very impressive amount of boats there but they have all but eliminated the co-captains chairs in all there models except one, the 21 footer. That seems to be a common scenario across many of the runabout lay ups. It was smart for Yammi to bring back the co captains seat, in my opinion. I don't know about you guys, but my CFO needs a comfy seat or she ain't sighning of on nuttin'. Lol!

My CFO says exactly the same thing! When we were looking for a boat in 2007, I wanted to get one of the new ones, but she vetoed it as it had only one full seat. She didn't like the bench at all!!!!

We were going to go to the Charlotte show tomorrow, but I have 2 242's to look at in the triangle this weekend, so looks like we'll be checking out this one instead. Was there many yamaha's there? Anyone going tomorrow?
