Saw this yesterday in response to my question about my position on a wait list for a wet birth at my local (one mile from my new home) marina. My boat’s and sometimes Waverunners’ new in season home. Spot # 22, 42’ long, 14’ wide, $420 per month. More than I wanted or need but I’m looking forward to having a boat in the water / no more or limited towing, launching, retrieving. After 30 plus years of that spot # 22 looks like Heaven on Earth too me.

The only good thing about catching Covid, I get to see the sun come up during the week.

Stay Safe!

Love cooking ribs on the grill. Super easy and no mess.

I experienced tfirsts on July 11 this year:

1: My boats first night in a birth at the local marina. It took me years, decades actual, for me to get to this point.

2: My boat ran out of fuel about five miles from my local marina. Simple sequence really, thegas meter first reads 1/8 of a tank, afterwards it reads “low fuel warning”, followed by the starboard engine shutting down and finally the port engine.

3. I called Boat U.S. for on water support: this was after I called my Wife and Son with a request to bring me some fuel on the Waverunners. Boat US relayed my request to a local tow boat captain, 16 minutes after I called the local guy called me and said, summarily, “I’m 15 minutes from the boat and 15 more from you. The trip is free the gas isn’t, gas is $60 for five gallons (or $12 per gallon”. I respond that’s fine, I have both cash and cards. To my surprise, my family got too me about 10 mins before Boat US. Not a small task since the empty gas cans are at the back of the shed and the Waverunners were not hooked up to a tow vehicle.

During the expensive dinner afterwards my wife made it clear that she will never let me forget about this. That is, forever started last night.

FYI - the other guy in the pic and on the boat with me is my “little” younger brother. He offered twice to put gas on the boat before we left the marina, my response, “we have plenty of gas for a short run”, before taking a long one, about five miles too long.

Sun up this morning over the pond in our back yards. It’s amazing what is missed when you work in corporate America.

The Milwaukee River after dark. I was working at The Safe House and the Riverwalk was a few yards away, so I walked over to take a few pics. The graffiti is from Brothers Bar & Grill, although you'll never see it from the entrance side of the place, this is a nice little treat for those who work behind the scenes.

Great photos. Reminded me of the bit from Wayne's World.

The boy character had a birthday on Thursday, so he had some friends up to the lake house, and we went out to see a neighbor and his buddies playing music on a houseboat
