Redid the hood as there were some spots I wasn't too happy with. Otherwise the hard work is done. Now need to do a prep wipe, pull off all the tape/plastic, and put the ceramic coating on. Then the next day put a layer of spray ceramic to protect the coating while it cures. Also need to do the interior. Probably another 10 or so hours left.

Piano black trim sucks. I don't kill myself polishing this stuff anymore as it'll be scratched up again the second I wash it regardless my wash method. Only thing to do to these is put PPF on them.

Conowingo Dam is a spot known for the huge bald eagle population mid-winter, and then around April when the shad run. I had a chance to stop in for a few hours yesterday. There were about a hundred in the trees, on the towers, and fishing in the river.

Finished closing in the underside of the upper deck. Now I need to get a ceiling drainage system installed to keep the rain off of what’s under there.

Those are some great shots! That had to be fantastic to watch. I love the look on both the eagle's and the fish's faces in the second one!

I'm a smidge OCD with the unfortunate skillset to do this work. LOL! It has taken me hours upon hours to do this. I'm now in the home stretch. 2 coats of ceramic are on everything including all the plastics. Tomorrow morning I'll put the spray ceramic sealant on to protect the coating while it continues to cure over the next several days. This allows me to drive it without having an IR machine to cure the coating faster.


Love freshly polished taillights. Granted these weren't too bad anywho.

This stuff is no joke, make sure to wear a respirator if you're not working in a well ventilated area. Which I am not in one. I keep my garage door closed as soon as a vehicle enters to be detailed and does not open again until it's completely done.

That looks great! I have a similar setup...it's going to stay damp under there, so treat anything that might rust. But a little preventative maintenance is totally worth the added secure storage.

Changed the spark plugs in the CR-V. Original plugs at 85k miles.

Took the deck boards off the deck today. Here are some overhead shots of the framework. Precision carpentry here. 2x6 joist with 4x4 posts scattered for support under without any cross support system, nothing is straight, boards scabbed on all over and joist spacing varies from 14-26”. ??‍

If that was done by any of the contractors around here, they would have used about 50 tubes of caulk to fill in the gaps..
