There was some talk about the badges a little while back, I was wondering if anymore thought was put into this?
Such as
Rope suck
Blown plug
forgotten bottom plug
lost anchor
rear straps
winch strap
Screw thru the hull
hit the dock
ect

Launched the boat with wench/tie-downs attached
Left a kid/wife at the dock
Left the beer cooler on the swim deck for the ride home....on the trailer
Left the dog in the boat driving home
Left the house to launch and forgot your family.....Awesome Day!!

I'm not sure which is worse leaving the boat keys at the house and remembering the beer or forgetting the beer and remembering the keys. Not sure I like the idea of lots of different trophies for bone headed stuff though. Just my .02

@Jebinok is there something you need to confess? lol

I have done a few of those already. Heavy heat and wanting to be on the water plus an anxious wife usually makes me forget something.

Lol i did the forgot plug last friday. We ran around the lake then pulled into the cove. I got i. The sli locker to get my wife a noodle , saw water jumped off the back deck went under water. Came back up and my wife was like wtf. I said we forgot to put the plug in and would you please turn on the bilge.

Hopefully you haven't earned all these already?

How about a bonehead rating for posts, get X (25-50) number and get bone head trophy and five trophy points.

whoo-hooo I'm going to get points!!
  • left the keys at home (now there is a spare set in the truck)(thank god for a great neighbor) (had to use that set last trip me made... 3hrs away from home, no keys)
  • forgot the drain plug (was only 50 yards from the dock, shut down the engine, and jumped in to fix... freaked out the wife)
  • hit the dock (too many times to count... wait, wait, nope I can count the nasty marks on my new boat. :(
  • sucked up a rope (3rd outing - scared the hell out of me)
  • Blown plug ( took me 10 min to figure out why I couldn't go more than a few mph)
  • Left the throttle in gear (again - "Why won't this thing work?!?)
  • Pulled lanyard (again - "Why won't this thing work?!?)
  • Left the kid on the dock --- OK, you caught me. That one was on purpose :winkingthumbsup"

Haven't seen this one: forgot to latch trailer onto ball, didn't notice until on the gravel ramp with the trailer tongue in the dirt with the boat on!

With my previous boat (18' fish 'n ski), I got to the ramp and the keys to the padlock and the ignition were sitting on the back bumper of the truck. Fortunately for me, it wasn't very far and I expect that if it were any farther, I would've lost them.

How about remembering the keys and beer but forgetting the wife?

Some might say that is a great day ;) ....

Until you come home and find divorce papers where she wants the boat

Heck...badges would be flowing like crazy for bonehead moves...I would get most of them....

Or be this guy.... Lol he is still enjoying life and has a possible easy time at the ramp! But may be hard to get on plane. image.jpeg
