Honestly he is lucky he even has a chance to go to court. You don't need a license to carry. Curious if he would have acted the same way with a group of grown men on the boat and not a kid by him self.

I commented on the other thread that I cannot believe that the other people on the boat let this happen. None of the Adults on that boat thought this was out of line? Thought that they should step in and defuse this situation? I bet they would have been the first to scream if that was their kid he was screaming at.

I just love the statement from his attorney and friend…trying to throw out the broken wing to make the “best charter captain” look like the wounded dove, and the only person to blame is himself. Not the whole of who he is? I wonder if and how many other confrontations have happened but there was no video evidence.

It will be interesting to see the outcome of the investigation in so far as was there an earlier confrontation that day between best charter Capt and the victim as “the best charter captain “ asserted.

Back in the day, there wasn't video rolling of most encounters! In today's world, it is crazy how many times there is video rolling of encounters like these. It is like most of the world is wearing a body cam!

Yes but in this situation the others were not involved or friends of the captain and when someone is in a strangers boat on a charter and something like this happens the best thing they can do is not escalate the situation by arguing with the assailant.
Also the fireman finally had enough in my observation and calmly told the boat captain to get back in his boat and that ended the confrontation. It is always best not to throw fuel on the fire . Especially in that type of an awkward position .

The video would have been MUCH different if the Dude jumped on MY boat without permission. It would have ended with an old anchor and a short rope ( with him attached) going over the side. Next clip,,,, Me buying a new anchor... with a smile on my face. I'm old, and even I hate old punks like that.

I have alot of experience with punks like this. Arresting them and holding them accountable to the law will have no affect. Publicly, he will show remorse and apologize to reduce damage to himself, but guys like this will always believe that THEY were right and justified in the actions they took, and law enforcement is just one more violation to their rights (as they see it). The other two guys with him are no better. They actually maneuvered the boat for him to board. The bad part of this man actions is that it will most likely happen again, unless he is put in the other persons spot. Let him be moved up on, boarded, fear for his life, or worse. That's the only way these guys learn.

I paid a lot of attention to the video and the only person touching the helm was the crazy guy, not the passengers in his boat as he boarded the other boat once he abandoned his paying passengers that in itself is an issue . I did not see anyone else at the helm. I think the boat was anchored watching the current under the bridge so i believe he just turned the wheel so the lower unit drifted his boat sideways to the other boat that was anchored also . I am glad no one was hurt in this and having 23 years experience cuffing and stuffing people like him and a lot worse. I am sure the appropriate action will be taken by the authorities. Especially since they are under the microscope.


I Looked at several videos and It was actually not anchored but I still did not see anyone else handle the wheel so apparently he left the boat occupied and adrift.
Fortunately for his passengers none of them got involved meaning they were not encouraging him to harm anyone etc.

Last I read he had pending local charges but could have charges from FWC and USCG as well.

Good Lord. I see some intense counseling and anger management courses in this shitbag's future. On a side note part of me wants to tell the kid, do not try and deescalate a situation by calling someone "bro" 2 hundred times.
