Moved her out of her cave to add some storage cabinets that were no longer wanted in the house. Done some renovations and cleaning out in the house so it was either repurpose it or sell it.15963884788209189325296079535876.jpg
It's a heavy beast made of solid pine! When we first bought it we used it as an entertainment/tv cabinet. It's 50"w and 25"d and 6 1/2' tall to give you perspective.

Took the youngest out (17 yo), who just got his boating certificate this week. Gave one lesson on boating.

Broke one ignition switch.

<sigh>

Added washers and nylock nuts for the bench seat studs. The wife had to do the rear because my fat ass couldn't get in far enough to even see anything. She got stuck coming back out and had a little bit of a panic attack, so I had to blindly wrench the nut tight after she had gotten it threaded on initially for me.

Do I send my hourly rate to Yamaha for reimbursement? Jackass assembly person never installed them in the first place. Do I get to add "jet boat assembler" to my resume?

I didn't have any issues until my neighbor was on the boat and sitting there, leaning over the edge of the cushion. The bolts were sliding out and the cushion was leaning forward. There's no "after" pic, since it looks like how it's SUPPOSED to look, only with something holding the seats tight to the deck. Here's the before crap show though

Glad you got it fixed, tho.

I needed a little 'therapy' when I got home from work today. We've been working at putting the house back together since our renovations are almost done. Painters come tomorrow to do touch ups so my wife didn't want to hang anything else till after they're done. So I got to spend some time with the boat. Other then getting the wet towels out and plugging in the battery charger I haven't done anything to her since we got home from Table Rock. So she got some TLC tonight!

also swapped out the single battery and switch for a dual battery and 3 way switch - thanks to members on this forum for the help! Stowed all removable cushions, tied down any stray accessories in the boat, shored up the covers, and added a second mooring pendant. Isaias is trying his darnedest, but as of 15 minutes ago, the boat is still there. Lots of carnage along the shore though. @sebagobill - how'd you hold up?

Best wishes for a good outcome. Our winters suck, but I couldn't image the nailbiting of riding out a hurricane or major tropical storm.

It's super early this year; typically we'll get a storm like this mid-to-late-October. Not particularly looking forward to seeing things in daylight.

I've lived in WI for most of my life, and I lived in Durham, NC shortly after Fran hit (missed all that fun, but the area was still cleaning up when we moved there), and we were there for hurricane Floyd. During Floyd, we packed everything up that we thought we might need in case the house was destroyed, and we headed to Charlotte to ride it out with some friends. Really clarifies what you used to think was "important".

I'll take a 3' blizzard over a hurricane any day. Oh yeah, I also got to live through the once-in-99-years snowfall of 22" in Durham, so I got to experience both in the same state.

Looks good! I'm a big fan of stickerless boats

(Your 'Global' battery needs a cover over the positive terminal. Helps prevent accidental short circuits...)
