Took out the non-matching SeaDek I ordered from JBP last year and installed the matching Marine Mat also from JBP. Love it

I don’t want to jinx myself, but I have yet to take on any water. No even a drop. I’m sure that will change.

I just wanted a backup. Also i slipped my boat here in florida this week and apparantly it rains every frickin day. That way I have redundancy.

Absolutely. I slipped my boat for 4 days and I worried for sure. But I was in a covered slip. How was the trip down? How about those tires?

Trip is great, Tires are fantastic, weather is hit or miss. May have to take a kid or two out, cause they agitating me before we leave on sunday :)

Installed my tower bumpers this weekend. I need to go back and get a little larger washer, but very happy with the outcome. Now when I want to go out on my own, or have others with me, we can lower the tower and have it rest on them without someone having to hold it. Also provides some protection in those instances that it slips, I won't have to get the seat fixed.

While I was cleaning it from trip I removed the graphics today.

Much nicer, to me. Classier. The bow decal is really unnecessary, IMO, almost like they felt like they had to add something, but ran out of ideas, and someone had those lying around.

I had several neighbors tell me they like the looks of my boat without the decals too. I know it's a personal preference, but that seems like something Yamaha could ship to dealers and let them add them later, if the customer wanted them. One less thing I'd have needed to do as well ?

??

I took my star decals off this winter when I had my hull touched up and a little fiberglass on the bottom repaired (previous owner damage). They were starting to peal in several locations. I really liked the stars but I think my boat looks fine without them.

When you order your boat from Yamaha, they should give you the choice, with or without. I hate the fact they only offer 2 color options as it is. I’m not that fond of the color scheme on my boat, but the other choice was a black hull. Too much damn work.

Today I used the Spectrum patch kit on the transom after chipping off a small spot of gel coat while backing in a bit too aggressively.

Replaced my wake tower anchor light after busting it off going under a bridge. Pretty easy fix. In my defense, I have gone under that same bridge multiple times including an hour before this. It didn't occur to me that a little rain would raise the level enough to be nail me, but live and learn. New light only cost me around $25 so not the end of the world.

Not exactly a "did to your boat"...but...

In May on one of the 1st outing on the new to us boat, I didn't have my 12 yo put on a PFD, the Police man pulled up and wrote me a ticket. Totally my fault. "Wait 21 days and call the judge" they said - they couldn't find the Ticket after four calls about four weeks apart. Yesterday they found the Ticket; $336 Fine, or Community Service, or Court Cost +Admin Fee + Boat Safety Course - I took the latter and it end up costing me ~$160.

Took the test yesterday and got 73/75 right on the 1st try and got my Certificate to satisfy my judgement against me.

I guess that is something I did for the boat?
