The official "What did you do to your jet boat today" thread.

Installed NOCO 5x2 & lateral thrusters 2.0.
I Velcro’d the NOCO to the carpet.

Dual battery kit is next.

Ordered a Krypt double surf rack today. My boat came with no racks and I’m tired of having the giant foil board taking up half the boat or having to take the mast off more than once a day.

I got the Yamaha specific quick release version that should level out well with our tower and I can easily remove the rack for storage.

I didn’t go for the swivel yet as I don’t think it will swivel well with a foil in there anyway and I didn’t get authorization from the admiral for this purchase…$280 feels like it will be a lot easier to explain than $480 when she figures it out. We’ll see!
I’m happy with this rack and Krypts service. It got here 3 days early.
Went on easy and seems very solid. I just wish I bought it years ago when it was cheaper.

I installed a Krypt rack 2 weeks ago.
Works great…held up to some strong chop and wind.
I can’t swing it out while it’s in my storage.8D7F8336-E866-4D04-92CE-49E8EA3F23FB.jpeg77A9A06D-7685-4184-9B7E-5803B3A44A59.jpeg

What do you think of the swivel? Worth the 200? I don’t really tie up with other boats and my storage has plenty of room so I’m on the fence. There was no discount for a combo so I didn’t get it.

Yes…definitely. It works great.
I need it to fit in my boat storage; the unit is 10’ wide, so I have to swivel/swing the rack in to fit.

Also added these MM steps, and “naked feet” from JBP.
I went w/ the OEM pattern/colors, to match the swim deck. F58776B5-9A46-4783-AEA7-C9A945FB785B.jpegD82281E3-F08E-4C80-A4CF-F4B7A5F38887.jpeg

Looks great. I replaced all the snap in carpets and swim deck and it was like night and day. Couldn't stand the carpet. If you ever decide to go that way it will enjoy it alot.

I’m trying to take baby steps…I’ve been bleeding $$ since I’ve bought this thing LOL (surf boards, wake boards, ballast bags, wake racks, thrusters ….)

ran it like a stole it LOL on the way in this evening it was dead flat and calm... so i firewalled the old girl... for a little.. both engines went to 10,200 or so and she started winding the gps speedo up and touched 50 with the bimini up still pulling hard when I backed off... even with the absolute junk starboard stator housing and stock 135 impeller on that side.. I think i got all the bugs worked out of the engines cant wait to get my HO pumps and more impeller built... ~35 Gal of fuel... and one soul... I should mention on the way out cruisin at 30 MPH in 2+feet of chop the boat stayed planted...

You have any more pictures or details of that canopy?
the canopy...

the poles...

The canopy comes with poles, but they're not adjustable so I grabbed these other ones. It was a very windy day, and this thing did just fine keeping the sun off me while I worked on installing the fishing platform. Also works well as some additional side shade when attached to the canopy on my camper.

I like it very creative!

Finally decided to replace all the inline fuses I instaleld for accessories with 2 fuse blocks which helped cleanup my wireing that I left long intentellay because I knew I would chnage at some point but it only took me 18 months to think about if first. One Block in the Battery Compartment and One under the Dash.

What did you make a NEMA2000 network for? Just curious what all information your sending to your SIMRAD as I have the same thing.

I have the VHF and Simrad only at the moment on the NMEA 2K. The Simrad is sharing the coordinates to the VHF for the MOB function

One of our bow filler cushions snapped when someone stepped on it over the weekend, so just did a quick repair on it. Filled the crack with two part epoxy, and then cut down a piece of starboard to overlap the gap. Epoxy between the new board and existing cushion, then six recessed washers and screws to join together. Put a quick roundover on the edges so nobody gets a scratch when moving it around.

Nice work to save replacement!

Did the epoxy not hold the board, or were the screws just for added reinforcement? I hate having bits like that sticking up, mebbe remove them and drill a shallow recess to get the screw heads below the surface.

Added reinforcement, but mostly just to hold everything in place and tight while the epoxy cured. Picture angle doesn't help, but the screws and washers are mostly all recessed below the face of the starboard (used a forstner bit to create a recess) - one or two sticks out 1mm or so.

We had the Yamaha logo badge next to "YAMAHA" fall off the port side during one of our first few outings and decided to completely de-sticker/badge the boat by removing "AR250", "YAMAHA", and the one remaining logo badge. Think it makes for a cleaner look. Here's a bit of before and after photo action...
