Tks for the reply, the strap was like that, seems pretty tight. I can try to straighten it.since you have a 2019 boat the knowledge may be limited,
you may try searching a parts diagram from yamahasportsplaza or similar,
my guess would be some sort of ice chest/cooler ??
Earlier boats had threaded plugs to separate/isolate compartments within the boat from water,
It's not threaded so it's not meant to be very secure or hold much pressure,
I'd also be concerned about that black strap in the last picture, is it supposed to be crooked or did you slide it to the side while cleaning?
.
Those were y thoughts, but the ballast bags seem to be linked up propperly, the yamaha diagram does not show any part like this in the ballast system. Really strangedo you have ballast bags or tanks, if it's a tank, maybe it's an access plug,
what about your wet storage areas or cleanout hatch, maybe it's a plug to stop one of those drain lines?
just brainstorming since it has a loop on the top like a line or chain to be attached to easily pull it out?
.
If you found one too, then it’s definitely a part that belongs in the boat... I was beginning to think that the tech that did my last service may had dropped it from a personal cooler or something and didn’t care to look for it ?I found the same piece in my 2018 242x, also in the bilge. I haven’t figured it out either.
Okay, I don't think you have anything to worry about!Guys, while I was cleaning the bilge by hand from lose debris, I found this part laying there inside the hatch (behind the drain plug). It looks important, like a part that’s meant to seal something. Any of you recognize it?
