Finally got my 2017 242X and time to get started and all ready for the season. I will use this thread to show it's progression from delivery through all its mods.
I'm going to do the usual upgrades:
- JL Audio complete upgrade
- Tinting
- Riva Spacers
- High altitude impellers
- Trailer wheels, blacked out fenders
I'll be following your work with interest. I am not sure if I am going to be overly pleased with the stock stereo, we'll see when I actually get to go boating this year....
Did you upgrade your amps? How about the stock Wetsounds Stealth 10 soundbar? I have a '17 242x am considering upgrading the stock amps (or adding a dedicated amp for the soundbar).
Check out "ribbon delete" mod - the RIVA spacer replaces the ribbon in the air intake. Probably not necessary to use the spacer but it does not cost much and may reduce turbulence - for better air flow.
