They steer just fine after you get the hang of it, I don't use any fins and I have zero issues. I guess you can say its the difference between a Harley Wide Glide and a Yamaha R1. Both are motorcycles but they are very different in regards to handling...
I agree. I have had my boat for about 2 years and just put the cobras on last month. For me the difference was NOT and exponential thing.....I definitely did notice a difference at slow speeds, some improvement in reverse and some noticeable improvement at high speed maneuvering. I think that, for me, the difference was not as great because I did get the hang of it before the fins. That being said, I dont regret installing them, just saying if you have been using your boat for a while, and figured out the techniques, dont expect any OMG moments!

A while back I wanted a sport sedan. I had the means to buy what I really wanted, but I thought I could go cheaper, save some bucks and be happy with some cash in my pocket. I was wrong and it cost me a bit of money (had to sell the mistake), but I was wiser for it. It was not fault of other people that had the car I bought so I moved on even though I actually had a bit of knowledge about the mistakes I’d bought.

I wonder why that memory returned to me tonight....

Hmmm. Interesting. I fail to see the correlation.

What do cars have to do with boats...

Wait...didn't you introduce a hotdog analogy?
I did, i definitely did... but I stayed within the turf meat products...

Cars (land) and boats (sea) vessels are like mixing plaids and stripes...

Got me all 6s and 7s right now...

Here's a question; If Rob Lowe would rob Lowe's, how many Lowe's would Rob Lowe rob?

Ya wanna know something? MR2's suck! If I had one, I'd cut the roof off, and then cut what's left in half! I'd turn the rear half into the bestest cooler in the whole world! Better than yours! And then, I'd turn the front half into a grill - and it'd grill nothing but hot dogs made out of steak! They'd be so good, you wouldn't need any condiments or buns! And then, oh yeah, there's more - I'll turn that roof skin into the best dam steering fin the world has ever seen - and attach it with nylon bolts! Then I'll put the whole mess on a pair of 'toons and take it offshore somewhere really far, because it'd be the best offshore fishing boat IN THE UNIVERSE. IT'S GONNA BE HUUUUUGE.

Some people are just “A$$holes” and giving them a hard time about it only makes it worse. For clarification, sometimes I want this type of person on my side, for example most of the litigators I’ve met but not here where I’m just trying to learn more about boats or share tips, tricks and boating experiences.

I hit the ignore button on CT a long time ago and have only used it one other time. In my opinion, ignoring a member completely is a harder hit and says a lot more than continuing the argument or discussion, in effect I’m symbolically stating that the persons I am ignoring have little or nothing of value to contribute to the conversation such that it’s not worth my time to even read what they write. It does make understanding threads like this harder but I’m sure it has kept my blood pressure down so it’s worth the extra effort for me.

Here is a simple how to ignore a member tutorial: 1. Click on the members name on one of their posts. 2. Click the blue “Ignore” button. See the screen shot below.

Note, I did not ignore zipper and I’m not advocating that anyone do so, his post and name just happened to be right before this one.
