In my world, a boat that is a jack of all trades is what we want and need. It doesn't need to do one thing amazingly well, but rather many things pretty good. Fishing (In-Shore, Off-Shore), Smaller Lakes, Great Lakes and Ocean, Plenty of Room and Storage, room for up to 10, can do watersports (we tube, ski, Zup, Kneeboard and Wakeboard) but with the ability to add on to be able to try surfing some day, is safe, easy to maintain, I can tow it, Has a top speed minimum in the 40's, is reasonably priced. Can handle conditions if something expected comes up on the water to get back in to safety and a 1-3' chop will not be deterrent. Also that it is economical to drive.
I basically get that in the boat we bought this year AR210, but the 25' sounds like bit more space, a better way to have a head and the ability to handle bigger water a bit better. So for us, to upgrade it will come down to price/cost vs needs and wants. We talked last night and it would most likely, at this point, either be a 2021 AR250 or a gently used AR240. Will see how everything shakes out and what the boats look like when they are revealed as well as reviewed and tested.
