Until they get a little older and realize why mom had this…
I so hope this is just a joke to make a funny meme. If not the future is so doomed.
So true. When my dad passed back in the mid 80's I did go and take things that meant a lot to him and myself. I have a 1951 wire recorder, a collection of his reel to reels and the player among other items.. Now my wife and I are selling out home our boys grew up in. We are downsizing. We have some nice things that just won't fit in the new home. Asked the boys if they want these things. Not even a moment to answer. No thanks dad.
Not a joke. And with the timing it is exactly what Meme says.I so hope this is just a joke to make a funny meme. If not the future is so doomed.

In early February 2021, the Cornell University Board of Trustees approved the change of the Department of English to the Department of Literatures in English. This move, supported by faculty, aims to better reflect the department's diverse fields of study and the global nature of literature written in English.
Elaboration:
The decision to rename the department reflects a broader shift in focus towards a more inclusive and diverse study of literatures written in English. The new name, "Literatures in English," signals a move beyond the traditional focus on English literature and recognizes the rich tapestry of works written in English across various cultures and regions.
The renaming was part of a larger effort by the department to decolonize its curriculum and pedagogy, recognizing the historical dominance of British and American literature in traditional English departments. The new name aims to represent the department's broader commitment to studying literature from diverse voices and perspectives, including those from Africa, South Asia, the Caribbean, and the United States.
They’re obviously on a much higher moral plane than the rest of us troglodytes working in the mines to support the floating city and are retarded by inhalation of the zenite gas…. Some animals are just more equal than others. Not a joke. And with the timing it is exactly what Meme says.

Doesn’t sound like morality has anything to do with it. There is a lot of great literature in the world, written in both English and other languages (and translated into English). Seems that anyone who’s passionate about literature would be interested in reading it, regardless of whether it was originally written in English, or not. They’re obviously on a much higher moral plane than the rest of us troglodytes working in the mines to support the floating city and are retarded by inhalation of the zenite gas…. This reminds me of a sci fi movie that came out in the 20 teens, ”critics” gave it high praise as a “thinking persons” movie, I see, so anyone who didn’t like it was stupid eh? The reviews were written using a thesaurus in search of ever more obscure descriptive verbiage to make it seem even more heady. Laughable. When in fact it was a dull, and a painfully slow and predictable movie that pontificated a very narrow set of viewpoints and values. It is not a timeless movie like the truly good ones are, and predictably it is sliding into obscurity…
