@MikeyL , are the G3 pontoons jet driven? I don't see that but maybe they have those options. I would think this would be pretty cool on a pontoon boat that is used for family, swimming, drinking, etc.

A twin jet pontoon with the jet drives built into the pontoons would certainly be innovative and provide improved safety and boarding.

This thread sure does make me :D

I think it will be a twin jet center console with a hull and accessories similar to the one in this video but maybe with an "articulating keel", their latest sound absorbing materials, a high tow point and a dedicated spot for board racks or tubes. They have the resources and technology why not add a ballast system that doubles as a live well, perfect pass and/or submerged lighting.

How about this one

Anyone remember when MasterCraft built a cabin cruiser. It was a very nice machine but at $300K more than double the cost of their next model, they didn't sell many and therefore they didn't make them long. I sure hope Yamaha doesn't follow the same strategy.

After re-watching these two videos of the MC 300, I think I may have just found my next boat, even though it's a prop. (twin prop actually).

@Ronnie ... that is very nice. Okay, I'm officially changing my vote to a twin engine cruiser!!

you guys know that Yamaha already has a fishing boat in their brand, right? G3 and Skeeter are in their brand. I don't know what they are coming out with, but my expectation is that it is an addition to the jet boat line.

Had no idea that Skeeter was one of their brands. You see, you do learn something new every day!!

SKEETERS blow Ranger bass boats away.

Said "gently" by a proud and happy SKEETER owner !

Hint: Look at my signature line

@MikeyL ... had to smile at your post. My dad has a 17ft Skeeter with a 250 Evinrude and that boat will move. We were clocked at 86 by a guy with a radar gun, man that was fun!! Most folks usually turn their hats around backwards...not this boat. You best take that off before you get under way or you won't have it long.

A Hybrid boat sure would be a different mainstream addition....the battery weight would be perfect as a Wake Surf boat!
I wasn't referring to hybrid as in gas/electric. I was referring to hybrid as in fish/ski. Hybrid-anything derived from mixed sources. But to be honest, a "hump" boat would be ok with me too, if it increases the activity!
