Job of the day, I was upset to see my jeep on the salt water 🫣. Most of the time I have to have my back wheels on the water when launching my Scarab.
Today, I added 3 feet between the car and the boat 😱, to preserve my jeep and an easy launch or load from my boat 🤞.
Cost: 500 USD mainly the machine shop for the supplies and welding.

And easy access to the back of the jeep 👍

Genius .Nice ride. I got an 03 TJ. Its mint.

I was thinking to buy a rollers trailer before, now I could keep this one.
Less stable when driving, you could feel it but I never race with my trailer 🤨.
( picture done before I finished the cable routine and the front rolller).

You might considering bringing your winch post forward a little bit to put more weight back on the tongue. That wobble you feel is too much weight on on the rear.

I have still load in the front, I can’t lift the front manually I have to use the trolley wheel. All the cheap trailer is welded, nothing easily adjustable 😢. Moving the boat forward will go against what I want: removing the car from the water.
The wobble is not an issue, 15 minutes driving from the garage to the boat rams 👍

Can always try distribution bars

There's a recommended tongue weight for that trailer in its stock form, and you've now altered the geometry. That's the point of the recommendation you were given

The wobble isn't an issue, until it is. Running a self-admitted issue and crossing your fingers that 15 minutes will be problem free?

Your concern for fellow motorists in the pursuit of... dry tires? JFC 🤦‍♂️

Not sure how long you needed to go, but maybe something like this would have worked?

You could swap in/out when you arrive at/leave the boat ramp, and no need to worry about trailer modifications.

To complicated at each use of the boat, this is a limitation of load on the ball.

I am happy and the wobble is not an issue, "wobble" is not the correct description. I just see a change ...
I went out today, it's working as expected ;).( Remember the 165 is a small boat).

Nice job. It always great to be able to launch without putting the wheels in the water.

I once owned a 15’ sailboat (WWP15) that had a 6’ tongue extension ( a tube inside a tube) and could launch my boat from the beach with a 2wd ranger. With the tongue retracted, the boat and trailer fit inside a standard garage.
