2021 255XE - Amps not coming on

Help forum!
My factory WS amps aren’t coming on. I tested them and they’re powered, so no issue with connection or fuse.

My connect is also coming on and I’m able to connect to bluetooth, radio, etc.

Any ideas on what the culprit be will be greatly appreciated

First thing I'd look at is the remote wire to the amps. When you say they are powered, do you mean that when the stereo is turned on the amps are ON? Or just that they have power to them and aren't turning on. The remote wire is often a blue and white wire, and it is what triggers the amp(s) to come on from the head unit. If it is disconnected or a poor connection, then the amps won't get the message to turn on.

The first Fusion manual I googled said it is a blue wire:

The power is reaching the amps but they’re not turning on. (Blue wire isn’t coming on)

Do you happen to know where the head unit is? (My 2016 head unit head unit used to be in the back by the batteries. The new one isn’t there as there is a blast tank)

If you have a 2021 as the thread title suggests (recommend updating your profile), the blue wire comes directly out of the connext screen. The connext screen is the head unit. The connector in the picture below connects directly to the back of the Connext screen. The blue wire you see is the remote turn on for the amp/amps.

Status update: I connected the amp remote directly to the battery and both amps turned on. So, it must be the connext remote output.

This will be a temp fix for the holiday weekend as the amps will run as long as the main battery switches are on

Hopefully the dealer can fix it easily.

It’s time to hit the water and try surfing in this beast.
