I would place the jack under the axle then place the jack stand to the side of the jack under the axle.

I debated this last year. In the end I took the trailer, boat and all to my tire shop. They used a large floor jack under the axle and I had new tires less than an hour later.

Good stuff; they stated just bring the whole thing in and they will just put them on with the boat on it...NICE!!!!

Oh yeah, got the boat back Saturday. Oil coolers fixed, oil changed, engine bay cleaned, warranty work done, and a once-over by the dealer. I guess now we have to start spending money for the trip. Would be interested in following the items purchased over the next few weeks. Maybe this will help us to not forget anything.

A good place to start is to make sure you have all of the items required by law... life preservers, flares, first aid kit, throwable, etc...

Also you need a yellow quarantine flag for entry into bimini.

Also make sure you have coolers for food and I am installing a lockable latch on the ski locker.

Also bringing a quart of oil, spare gas can, and extra spark plugs and GPS.

manual bilge pump, power cord (docks have power if you need to recharge batteries), ..
Here's a good one: empty containers so you can make your own ice overnight for the next day.....or bottled water to freeze..
anchor, rope, bumpers, squirt gun, snorkel equipment, batteries..
you can use a yellow tshirt in place of a flag as well..........

We never bothered with shore power. We used the boat enough to not need it. We also did plenty of anchoring out and playing tunes.

That said, I do have a two battery setup with one battery dedicated to the stereo.

I hate sentences that start with "remember".....
their website simply states 30/50 amp service......I believe I saw the typical power tree seen so often, with an array of outlets....I can call to confirm.

I never hooked up to power either last year, I'll have 2 fresh batteries this year.....but its an option for anyone that might need it, and i believe you can add it to your slip rental on a per day basis

Mines an old GPS Map 478. Its color and works, but I would prefer something with a touch screen. I also have problems locking into satellites after I have traveled a long distance from where it locked in last.

I bought a Raymarine Dragonfly with Navoinics Gold Charts on sale last year. There are lots of good options out there. The charts are probably more important that the device itself.

Trying to determine which cover I want to use to trailer. Should I use the deluxe mooring cover or the shipping cover? Is anyone bringing their cover to the island with them?

Our cover stays with us always. We didn't once & a HEAVY rain came & filled our gas compartment!

We don't tow with our mooring cover on because our experience is that it rubs the finish on the edge of the windshield.

By the way, this is all Jim's comments I have no idea what you people are talking about!! Lol, lol!!!

I just trailered my boat 800 miles to go to a professional, Cycle Springs Powersports in Clearwater Fl. They are the only people I trust with my beautiful wife (that was me, Chrissy talking! Lol). They know what you need, any questions you need help with, I suggest you talk to them! The head service manager is Dragon. They are taking care of this problem immediately with awesome professionalism. Unlike here in South Carolina where when you tell them the boat you have they tilt their head & say "what?"

P.s. That is also were we purchased the boat & they have been awesome!

Oh!! By the way we decided to name our boat "Black Pearl".

I personally have not used them but I have heard from other people that have and they have been very pleased. Leesville is a lot closer than Clearwater, even though I am partial to Clearwater since I grew up there and all my family is still there.
