Bimini 2019 July 7th (Bahia Mar) depart July 8th for Bimini return July 13th

I don't think they do.... that's why I said 'almost everything' ;)
BGC didn't have floating docks in 2016 but if you're considering them as a potential, I'd say go for it. They were our first stop in the Bahamas. We used them to clear customs & immigration.

It turned out to be my boats favorite stop/shopping point. They have a great group of people, great accommodations, great pool, close to liquor & bread store, & a great restaurant.

Without floating docks, it does make it a bit harder to get in your boat at low tide, but that really the only downside. I wouldn't hesitate staying there at all.

The downside from the lack of floating docks is all the boats that will be hanging in the air when the tide goes down and the others that are damaged from being tied too loose.

I would hope that everyone would tie their boats correctly every time but know from experience that is unlikely.

That's a shame you feel that way about this group.

So BGC is only for those who feel competent to tie their boat to a fixed pier on tidal waters. Or who don't mind having their boat possibly destroyed, I guess.

@Sbrown I have to admit that it takes a great skill to turn a comment of true concern to something negative. I am sure that in this forum there are some seasoned sailors, but I do not think they are the ones who are desperate to find a buddy boat to cross to Bimini. Please recall that in those trips there are people who buy their first boat in March and end up crossing in June. I can almost guarantee that all those newbies are more than happy to hear the comments that make you sad.
I hope you get a chance to spend some personal time with some folks here and realize that no one is out there to lecture or insult anyone. Just simple people being blamed for trying to help others.

Dude, whatever. lol

Sounds like this year it will be several smaller groups, maybe better equipped for the trip.
Doesn't look like we will be able to make it though...:(
(that is a terrible sad face emoji, BTW, lol)

Also - what's the difference between 1 and 2 emoji - are those both "laughing"? (sorry I'm very bad with those things..)

They totally changed them after you posted @swatski those would have been great fun to use.

Still no word from bimini Sands or a departure date?

Still no word from bimini Sands or a departure date?

Bimini Sands is moving further into chaos. Sometimes no water, sometimes salt water in the taps. Sixteen holes in the pool. Sailboats being stored in the marina for $100 a week. Payroll not being met for the marina.

I am waiting for an early March update.

My dates are still confirmed July 6th or 7th through 12th or 13th. How many more boats are confirmed for this time period as well?

no ,not at this time. Waiting to see what others may be doing in the group.
