Bimini 2020 - early interest - dates TBD

What other options are there if this becomes too much of a hassle? Has anyone done FL to Grand Bahama Island? Looks like about 65 miles from one marina to another.
I do not think Bimini Cove will become much more of hassle, just more expensive.
it is also worth noting that our organizers had made our crossing a logistical elk in the park for us, so I believe we all might have been spoiled. Changing destinations will not necessarily make it simpler.

It’s 70 miles from West Palm Beach to Old Bahama Bay in West End. Doable on a great day, but fuel will be a major risk. Plenty of boats have run out of fuel going the 50 miles to Bimini.
Wasn't most of that wiped my the hurricane?

West End avoided the worst of the storm and reopened a few weeks later. But it doesn't have condos that I am aware of....houses...yes. So for us without cabin cruisers....renting would be more expensive.

Correct. If want condos you need to go on to Treasure Cay.
Oh wait, that place actually was wiped out by Dorian...

And Old Bahama Bay is quite expensive. We paid $105 for one night (including shorepower) with a 31’ boat.

Yes but for you @Berrie is like a hotel. $105 a night is killer deal

It’s quite cramped, wife and I with two teenagers in a 31’ boat.... If it were just my wife and I, ok, but with the kids we can only do that one or two nights in a row. Not suitable for multiple nights.

so many wrong things about this video, but the worse is putting people on the bow area. Yamaha at 4:50.

No even a proper lifejack for the youngest child on the port side. Thanks God, they made the call to turn around.

Don’t worry about that @Betik the life vests are safely stored in one of the storage lockers. What could go wrong?:mad::mad:

No worried at all; those yamahas have hinges on the cushions, real easy to get them. You can get to them even faster if your half your crew in overboard.

Kinda like the 2 idiots on the Sea Doo at the end - those conditions beat the hell out of a 1-up rider!

May need to skip this year. Unfortunately my 2004 f150 with 160k is costing me 200 a month to maintain anymore.

Nice ride! With all the gas you will be saving with the Ecoboost you should be able to spring a Bahamas trip... ???

No EcoBoost! Issues on carcomplaint site seemed to me that most big issues were tied to ecoboost engines and the vaccuum system causing brake issues etc. I hotthe v8 and so far the main issue i have read about is the throttle body needing replacement. I have a warranty but once that is gone it may get replaced anyways as a precaution with a higher quality aftermarket one.
I gotta say though this thing is dangerous in sport mode on a wet day!
It has all the towing options but not even powered seats lol!
