Pwc doctor sells it, any water acumulated in the boat will self bail when under way, i use it on rc boats before and new jetski racer use it but did t know about boat aplication till my budy told mr aboht, he has been usi g it in his yamaha for 2 years now, and yes moored his but for up to 4 days in the water.
So I have used the self bailing valves in my RC boat also with great success. All that is involved is screwing it into the existing threaded plug hole? That's a no-brainer!
yes pretty much screwing itt same thread, less than $30 why not try it, all that extra water weight will be gone as soon as i start going forward saving gas i guess.
Installed a Johnson Pump Ultima Combo Bilge Pump
750GPH, and a one way check valve for the clean out plug tray, nust in case water was making its way back up the hoses. The bilge has a digital no moving part type of auto float valve, and the manual was hooked up to the factory on off cable.installed abovr the ride plate mounts.
Never felt the need for steering fins on the 2019 or now on the 252 but if i could get an advantage at higher speeds then why not?. So i ordered Cobras from @Cobra Jet Steering LLC, 2 days later they arrive with an email and a personal phone # just in case i needed help. So today i installed it followung the online video, pribaly took me 45 mins total. Looking fwd to testing at the lake but specially on my way to Bimini in 3 weeks.
Heres my opinion on the Cobras, like i said before never felt the need for them on the new boats 2019 242 and now the 252, i launched the boat in a direct xwind tight double ramp and the 252 tracked straigh in reverse, docking against the xwind was even easier than before, at 30mph it tracked straight with no hands on the wheel, at 35mph with the xwind it veered a bit with the x wind, and parking at the sand bar was a breeze. They are very well designed took less than an hr to instal. The newer boats might not need them specially with experienced jetboaters but the do make life easier.

With this impressive setup, I was curious about how long your batteries last and how you have it set up. Does the boat provide enough charge to get through or do you put it on the NOCO after every outing?

Hey Jocolo21,
Bringing this post back for a question...looking at the photos, it seems like the Cobras may be deflecting the water exit for reverse steering....have you noticed any changes in reverse steering with the Cobra's?
Never paid attention during reverse, but coming from bahamas in big waves they reacted quickly and the boat didnt feel loose over the rough, like it did before

Yes, I see that, thanks. I should clarify that I have JBP Latteral Thrusters and will need to pull them if I go with Cobras. I really like how well the boat docks with the LTs. Not going with TVs as I want a fin in the water at all times for the 252SE. Has anyone lost latteral docking precision with the Cobras?
