That was me. Just hoping that perhaps customs eould have a Rep at Bimini Sands. We had usual ugly long drill ass drill at Big Game. Bruce where U at when we need U! LOL! It was awesome last year how U arranged the custom & Imigration at BS.
Sorry I couldn’t make it guys.
After being in the shop for 2 months and REALLY making it clear everything must be tip top and very well tested before pick up, we picked up the boat, drove down to Pompano to splash, went on our way to Bahia Mar, and after we left the 2nd no-wake zone i throttled up, and one of the engines bogged down. I think it went into limp mode. Usually a result of running hot but the temp gauges read normal. With no indication what the problem was, i had to make the tough call to abort mission.
This is the most uneventful Bimini fling ever lol. Someone go suck up an eel or something geez!
I think @Julian is right. This thread is fake news!
June group had ghost towns, lighthouses and a woman holding a shark like it was a friggin little baby!! Bar has been set high and y'all got some work cut out for you! Of course you do get some points for having a hurricane offshore but still ....I don't believe y'all are over there. Nope. No proof...yet! @Bruce you're our savior
@haknslash we have two boats six lives and two inReaches headed out for Bimini either tomorrow morning or Tuesday morning. We will venture out and see what these north easterly waves are all about.
They are the opposite of any crossing that I have made before.
I will post before we depart. It may be entertaining.
Sounds like some of us are going to honeymoon harbour tomorrow.
Hopefully my kids live through the sharks and stingrays.
Also found out that the sunscreen we bought wears off in 80 minutes when wet. So i am reeeeeeeeEEd
