Several of the large boats had lights on at their stern. The light along the length of Boondoggle (62 Ocean) was all mine.Yea I can only imagine in such clear waters the light would look amazing especially with such aquatic life around. @Bruce did the large boat also have lights on or were you the only boat with all that light? Looks badass!
Was all that light in those photos from ONE light?Ah, you flew home and left Brian to tow the boat?
You have him well trained
Only one light. I swapped the internals of my 2014 vintage 40 watt LED for a single 100 watt LED COB. I was using a 36 volt power supply that was overdriving the LED to dangerous levels of amperage. The LED has a 34 volt forward voltage. Based on @Mainah's suggestion I added a PWM (motor controller) to drop the supply voltage to 31.3 where the LED is drawing 3 amps on the high side and 10 on the 12 volt side. I did not see any visible difference to running higher amperages. The LED COB is a $10 part. In total this was a less than $50 repair / upgrade to an old LED light.
It is less impressive on a lake but still fun. Here in Bimini I discovered that it is so bright that the rear facing LED seems to illuminate the sides of the boat as well.
The larger boats had their own lights at their sterns. The light on Boondoggles bow is all mine. Was all that light in those photos from ONE light?
@AndyDWhat did you get pulled over for? I got my hand slapped in June for getting to close to the cruise ships going from harbor town to bahi mar.
@Bruce I think you would do very well in my river! You are one crazy SOB, captain! lololThe narrow channel to and from Resort’s World, the opportunity to find a large yacht, running the middle of the channel, making huge wake and the shallow sides where you would bottom out in that wake if you try to wait it out are some of my favorite things about Resorts World. I imagine the yacht captains find this quite funny.
This is the second time I have had this experience. Have others had this fun?
Sorry about the upside down video. I plan to fix that when I get home.
They must take you for a local.I imagine the yacht captains find this quite funny.
I thought it was no wake all the way from the entrance into N.Bimini all the way up! Never seen anyone going above no wake....so news to me....This is the second time I have had this experience. Have others had this fun?
The observed practice is that the no wake zone stops once inside the channel markers for Resorts World. This is beyond the traditional marinas but wakes like this certainly cause harm to the shoreline and businesses along it.I thought it was no wake all the way from the entrance into N.Bimini all the way up! Never seen anyone going above no wake....so news to me....
The first thing that I thought was "it's actually very common to have uneven coconuts"
A shark wanted the squid I was holding for the rays. I did not see which shark it was but felt the tug and pulled my hand out of its mouth.@Bruce what did that to your fingers?
Thanks, I agree. Had to check for fingers. Just scratches.Definitely could've been worse - glad you're ok!
What's the water temp down in Bimini & Honeymoon Harbour?
