I don't know what everyone is saying about an easy crossing!!! I'm just gonna say i am glad i binge watched Deadliest Catch before this trip. Here is a small clip of the rough conditions we endured for approximately two whole hours!!!
@Eric Ballard you were right... there is no way your 19 footer would have made it!!
I'm stoked everyone made it across safely & quickly! My lake is usually rougher than that!! I'm really kicking myself for not saying LAST year that I would make the trip THIS year... Here's to Bimini 2019 & have a great time and keep posting pics and vids!
Yeah that was @Ramblin Wreck and I also closely followed by @Gofish206 best crossing I have had it was nice. Moving the crossing up one day had it's challenges for many involved but it paid off huge!
FISH !!
Full moon is in a few days. This month they call it the MUTTON MOON... Mutton snapper are delish.
The fish almost always bite better a few days prior to full moon , on the outgoing tide. Fish the drop off right outside .
Maybe hire one of the locals to take a few out on one of the "fishing type" boats and split the guide fee. Should be about $200.
