I like keeping the glass in my vehicles clean, microfiber towels work good for this but sometimes they leave these little fibers on the glass and they’re not easy to get off. Really frustrating because the microfiber towels are great for cleaning glass except that lint. It’s vexing as car washes use microfiber towels to finish the car after it gets washed.

I did a search and this afternoon and the linked article is one of several I found, and it would appear I’m not alone on this subject..

I’ll see what brand of micro fiber rags they use in our factory tomorrow. We buy them in bulk by the hundreds and they don’t leave those annoying fibers on the glass.

That would be awesome!

When the Costco ones I have were new there wasn’t hardly any but after a few uses and laundering it got bad.

Any success ?

Has anyone used the waffle weave type? Similar problems?
Those are supposed to be the ones to use to avoid the lint issue.. haven’t tried it yet though.

So you’re not supposed to use old tee shirts and undershorts anymore? Just asking for a friend….!

Uses newspaper for zero lint and the most streakless window you'll ever see.

What's a newspaper?

Those are those things that advertised for Columbia House, and you could get a million 8-tracks for a penny.

This post will read like hieroglyphics to many. I'm not so sure myself what I just said 😁

What's a newspaper?
Around central Wisconsin area, they're delivered for free every Wednesday to our mailboxes in the form of some sort of old-school shopper.

Newspapers, brown paper shopping bags at the super market and glass bottles have sadly disappeared from the level they once were. Newspaper had many uses as did brown paper shopping bags, we used to cover our text books with brown paper shopping bags at home to help preserve the text books for future school years. The brown paper bags were vilified as tree killers and were replaced with plastic bags 🤦🏻‍♂️ to be more ecologically friendly.. Just like glass bottles were replaced with plastic ones… glass bottles could either sterilized and reused or melted down new bottles made. As kids we were constantly on the hunt for empty glass bottles to turn for the nickels (16 oz) and dimes (32 oz) to get money for whatever we wanted…usually more soda.

Now we have micro plastic everywhere… Suzuki outboards even have cooling water filters on them you’re supposed to send back at oil changes for study.

That old saying comes to mind “The Road to Hell is paved with good intentions”.

Did you just figure out a way to throw in a Columbia House reference into a post?

I think I still owe them hundreds if not thousands of dollars for tapes and CDs from not making more purchases after the million for a penny deal. I had tapes and CDs sent to just about every house I knew an address for.

Columbia House was (and is still called - and used to this day) a Negative Option Business Model. Even though they sent you all the CD's, and then all the nasty "collections" letters, there was zero legal precedence for them to actually collect.

I even once told that I converted to an Amish lifestyle and could no longer have electronic devices, while on the telephone with them. They responded with “well I guess you won’t be needing anymore CDs then” and wished me well with my new life. I told them not to hesitate to call back with any specials in the future just in case I decided being Amish wasn’t for me.

Much like Temu, all they're out of pocket for, is something like $37.44

I use towels specifically made for glass. They're almost like a rubber type material. Some waffle weave towels will still lint like crazy.

I've never used those but the rag company is good stuff.
