The sound bar doesn't have its own amp....it runs off the polk amps. Do you ever have the amps cut out?

I like that tint job! And those JL tower speakers look great! How much for the new speakers?
Yeah the tint makes it! The tower speakers retail for $949.00 + $149 for the clamps. I also replaced the all the speakers and added another 10" sub.

I also used the Ronix wake shaper Eight.3 with the rear ballast full, center locker empty and the cruise set at 11 mph going straight and was able to drop the rope no problem. I was riding my 2017 Slingshot Gnarwhal XR 4'6"

That's outstanding. So I guess the boat was not even listed.
Maybe that's the trick, with no center locker or any forward ballast, getting deeper pocket and going a bit faster.

I feel like I can add a little forward/center ballast, maybe 20/30% and see if I can dial it in a little more.

Hey Williamsone46 awesome clean looking boat and mods! I never thought to put my second sub there due to space concerns with storage, but see how that spot keeps it pretty much out of the way. Nice!
Do you happen to have any pics of the Ronix wake shaper in action, showing location and how much of it is actually in the water at surf speed? I'd love to see a pic of it looking down on it during surfing! In the pic above it appears to be mounted a little more forward and higher up than I would have thought, which might be the trick...

Looking forward to seeing more!!

No sorry I don't have any pics yet. I'll get some this weekend though. It's about as low as it can go I think, it's hanging off the bottom quite a bit. In the pic it's a little forward, I'd normally mount it further back when n use.

Haven't added helm speakers yet?
No I haven't added any helm speakers, I've thought about adding some tweeters in the helm though.

You won't regret adding full speakers in there!
It's so loud as it is, I'm not sure I'd want to throw some more coin at it....

Love everything you've done!!
Like others have said, I'd like to see pics of the wake with the wedge. I always fill all 3 and seem to get the best results but no way @245lbs am I off the rope.
Nice job with the build

Im thinking about a new 242 also and wonder what is this talk I hear about towers having problems and might fall down. I read the Chaparrals have
pistons on their towers to let them down and large lock to keep them in place. How does Yamaha secure their tower and can you lower it if you want to?

Yamaha 2015+ AR 240 towers have a poorly designed locking mechanism with two hand-wheel bolts that are too short and are, basically, begging to fail. When that happens, it is not a lot of fun, which I can confirm. There is a DIY fix which appears to work well enough.

The big Yamaha towers such as in the 242 E series have been trouble free, so far, no worries there.
