First trip of the season…FINALLY! Gulf side at Shell Island. No picture but had a manatee swim right off our stern as it made it’s way down the coastline.

Great Father's Day on the boat. Went to downtown (St. Pete) for brunch, met up with some friends and took them to the River's Edge (Gibsonton - Alafia River). Below are pics of the sunset on the ride back (after the afternoon thunderstorms).

This is the only pic I took today. It’s my first day on the water this season and I’m with my son. I can’t believe the effort it took to be in position. For context, I used to live 50 miles from the water, now after selling my old home and moving into a new one over a three month period, I now love a mile from the water. It was an awesome trip / short run today for many reasons.

Stayed overnight at Orman lake…100° during the day and water temp was 80° in places. Great light show that night watching lightning that was 150 miles away….

There is a launch at the south tip of the lake by the Torch river. When we went we preferred to rent a house on Clam lake and boat over to Torch. I don’t recommend trying to launch in Alden. It’s a tight place to get in & out of. Good idea to check out the launch on maps satellite view before going so you know what to expect.
