ramp debacles both in the same weekend labor day 2020

How do you all think our boats/trailers would do on a launch like this? It drops off a little out in the water, I would probably have to get the trailer tires beyond the drop off.

I have launched a much smaller boat there a couple times and it was ok but I’m considering launching my 212 there this weekend. It would save me several miles of really rough dirt road to get to a real ramp.

Long as you think you can pull it up the sand shouldn't be problem.!

Looks like the launch would be easy…the retrieval on the other hand may be an issue.

That’s what I’m worried about, getting my trailer tires stuck in the water when retrieving. Not sure what you do if that happens? Unload the boat and try somewhere else?

Bring a portable winch for the front just in case.

Anybody with a 4x4 tractor in the neighborhood? LOL, Or pull with 2 trucks. The sand looks compact. That hidden trailer behind the trees may be a dual axle for that bass boat out there. I know he is still lighter than you.

As long as the sand is hard and you have 4x4 with good tires you should be alright. Soft sand forget about it.

I would have someone on the boat ready to drive it off, and brake check them off the trailer.. that should give the momentum so you don't need to go too far back. I would probably do the same in reverse, come in a little hot and kill the motor before too shallow. Guide poles or CJs would help here.

Seen this walking back to the truck after launching my boat. This driver backed the trailer in the water first try LIKE A BOSS!!!! I was even impressed.

Well, a golf cart with eight people on it lost it, went off road and rolled the cart into the lake...does that count? Golf cart was way overloaded...

This was my best day but it only happened once, one truck driver and one boat driver, the older one has since cooled on boating and the little has rebuffed my offers to let her drive the truck to the ramp all summer long,

My youngest daughter will drive from the ramp to pack up area and even home, but can't back it while I wait in the boat.
