A guy I work with installed my hitch into our work Kubota, I towed a trailer all over the flightline, came back to the shop and went to unhook the trailer. Instead of stopping on the notch of the retaining pin he pushed it all the way down where the big hole is, it was just dangling there (it's the type that doesn't have a hole, just a recess the pin fits in). I showed him how it doesn't work like that, he still didn't understand....he is the most non mechanically inclined person I have ever worked with, and he has been in a maintenance career field for 30 years, aircraft maintenance type stuff at that:-/
I could give multiple examples but my favorite is that he can't wrap his head around how a pipe wrench works, he tries to use it backwards every time he gets one in his hands, I've had to explain how it works several times, until I just gave up and let him fumble around with it then go back later to finish what he was trying to do:-/
