Many years ago, I got the new speakers stolen out of my Yamaha LS2000. I decided to try something different with my new Yamaha 242 speakers to help discourage theft.

I replaced the stock Philips speaker mounting screws with security screws. There are many types available - I chose a #8 stainless steel 1" "Tri-wing" type from McMaster-Carr. They are $14 for a pack of 50: http://www.mcmaster.com/#95641a199/=11p25aw

They fit great and will hopefully help deter another theft!

This will slow them down for sure....which might only make them mad and result in physical damage while they chizel them out....
