Beautiful patio area!Might be the last "decent" night for a fire until spring around these parts.

Loved when I got to fly seaplanes. I always had a grin you couldn't possible smack off. My two favorite things rolled into one. Boats and airplanes.DeHaviland Beaver at rest in the harbor at Vancouver, BC.

Only problem with a pool is that my wife would never want to go out on the boat!!?Thank you. We had the pool built 2 years ago and then had it landscaped with mixture of rock and mulch (on inside of fence) which I never really liked that much once it was done. This year I had landscapers pull everything we just did last year and replace it all with 23 tons of river rock, the paver patio with fire pit and seating wall, and concrete steps going down to the second gate. My wife wasnt that happy to be redoing everything a year later but it turned out much better this time I think.

Yes, halos are quite common if the light hits just right. As a "real" pilot, I'm a little concerned that you are above and so close to the clouds. If an airplane came popping through those clouds on an instrument flight plan, you could have a potentially ugly situation. Just sayin. Very pretty, but I don't think you're legal right there. Danger Will Robinson!I wasn’t aware of this “phenomenon” before I flew Paramotor’s. I’m sure some of the real pilots out there are. But when flying above clouds, the sunlight somehow refracts around you and casts a rainbow around your shadow on the clouds.

there isn’t a “halo” on the third picture, you can stop looking for one. I just though it was a cool picture too. ?
Wow!I clipped on this cheap Bell & Howell telephoto lens to my cell phone camera. I wanted to get a closer view of Malletts bay that just skimmed over with ice in the last 24hrs.

The grow medical marijuana in that place i fly over it every week when i land in DTW, the have to keep the buds from freezing hence all the lights, i guess Canadian grow it betterWhat does Madical cannabis have to do with the light effect off the clouds? What is madical cannabis? I can see how medical cannabis might influence the effect, but you don't have to go to Canada for it. Plenty around my neck of the woods now. Did not know if that was aviator terminology.
