We have been coming to Cabo San Lucas for almost 20 years now things have changed but we still love it here. Currently on day 2 of a 3 day all we can eat and drink meal plan. $80 per day person. We need to spend at least $107 pre tip every meal, 3 meals a day to break even. No problem we have been ordering every thing we want or think we want. Sometimes we just taste what we ordered other times we finish it. We waste some food but otherwise leave it for whoever wants it poolside. Tips are not pre included at the resort, I leave 10% on everything I order, they treat me good. We are never hungry, on these days we have too much food. When we first get here the shuttle driver takes us to Walmart or Costco for us to stock up.

here is the current view from our penthouse suite. The marina is in the left, madrano beach is on the right.

We also took a tour of the arch in a clear (plexiglass) boat today. First first time in such a boat. A plan to call to see what it costs to rent the black boat in the pic, maybe next time.

A new big boat made it down from Montreal. She will be here for the rest of the season. The 68' Sunseeker Predator casts a long shadow and dwarfs the 21' Doral. That is what $1.75 million will buy you.

Ran one of those years ago. Nicknamed Sunleaker for good reason!

im thinking that resorts have a better experience. Idk, I never stayed in a resort before, but everyone who had good Mexico experiences had stayed in a resort. I rented a car there and tried to find a good market, but it was also difficult to find good food there on the east coast. We definitely didn’t have Walmart or Costco lol

We decided to replace the needy Jabsco toilet in the head with a Raritan PH Superflush, recommended by many as a better throne for my Queen. Fedex just delivered this am. Just unboxed it.
"Honey, I love you so much, I got you a new toilet!"

I am SO showing my wife this post. I hand her a broom and tell her I got her a new vehicle, and all I get is the stink eye! D'ya think a new HD bucket with a toilet seat on it will get me out of the dog house?

@zipper please...no more close up pictures of your toilets.
I call foul odor...at least I had the seat and lid down. @Ronnie shows his brothers toilet with the lid up and describes, in detail, his first butt wash with a Bidet seat. LOL.💩

My bother has four females at home with him (his wife and three daughters). After boating with them last weekend I had to leave a deposit in their main restroom. I forgot until the deposit was made (“money” was on the tellers counter/in the atm machine) that there is no toilet paper in that restroom because they installed an aftermarket bidet in there), So I used a bidet for the first time ever. It had a wireless remote but no instructions posted so I just hit the “A”utomatic button and let the bidet do its thing. The opening is smaller than those on standard toilet seats as well. The first few seconds of use were shocking too me and I wish i would have known that standing up turns it off, I was being blown dry for way too long. My SIL says it’s thorough, my brother says it’s not. Had I thought about it sooner I would have Installed one in our main restroom and put the toilet paper out of sight or removed it entirely to screw with my son and his friends.
@drewkaree She actually bought the toilet, to replace the old one. I was surprised as she seemed comfortable with the 4 gallon bucket, no seat, with a lid that we had on the Yamaha. She is still full of surprises after 30 years of marriage. ;)
I too get stinkeye at any mention of a broom and travel in the same sentence.

A little garage boating today. It's a very rare cool and rainy late August day here in Texas. My son and I went for a mountain bike ride on a single track through a heavily wooded park earlier today. About halfway through our ride the skys opened up and the bottom fell out. We got soaked and muddy. Got lunch and came home to clean the bikes in the boat garage with it still raining. Of course I turned on the boat stereo and turned on the neons!16289777905374948763662294901350.jpg162897782021637780760007419852.jpg

Watch out...apparently our burg has been invaded by army worms, which look like caterpillars but will decimate your yard or garden. I have the larvae all over my back porch.

I guess our neighbor across the way had some issues with the wind on his departure. That does not look right to me.

Normally looks like this. Good thing the "Toller boat" a Cutwater was out at the time.

Great day on the water yesterday, storms popping up on our way back. Did a little wet sanding and repair work on some scratches from the launch today, (slips at the launch are still in rough shape from a hurricane last year) and now all buttoned up for the tropical storm tomorrow.

Someone asked for a 3 car garage to their dimensions so I obliged :D

Oof man. Inventor for architectural work is rough. You have access to Revit? Heck, I might just draw in AutoCAD unless you really wanted the 3D look.

I spent the weekend redoing the garage and basement unfinished space. Uncle is redoing his kitchen and have us the old cabinets for free.

Hung some over the back of the boat. Changed the shelf over the fridge to be hanging on one side and put a base cabinet in as a work surface beside the fridge. Gonna put some wheels on that one so I can roll it out of the way to get the boat in/out.

PXL_20210815_201223587.jpg

Basement was full of misc stuff. Have that space cleaned out and prepped to accept the base cabinets. Wife is painted those white and we'll throw an inexpensive countertop on them to make a dedicated craft space for her. Nothing but an empty space to show for that initially though.

PXL_20210814_191143551.jpg

Then. Got the oil in the Zero Effs Given Audi changed. Anyone ever used Molygen? Stuffs green, which is odd for a 5w-40 oil. Had to pull the intake tract off to get to the filter housing. Intake has some sort of prefilter in there. Never seen anything like this before. Was nice to fill the air suspension and not have to use a jack/ramps to change fluids. That fender gap looks terrible though!
PXL_20210814_211314640.jpg

Finally finished the day watching the boys ride the power wheels around the house. Little one can reach the pedals now, and the big one barely fits. They grow up so quick!
