So there is no open-ish water to cruise on? Seems like the fast water is just a straight narrow channel.

Thirty minutes on a boat in a channel would sure as heck beat out of 30 minutes towing a boat on the highway! :winkingthumbsup"

Started looking for a home on the water. This is a pic of the private dock at one of the places I got a tour of today. It may look like a beat up mossy lift in a small dock to some, but its included with the sale of the house and looks like heaven to me, with room for two jet docks on the front end.

I’m looking forward to seeing more soon.

Discovery Bay?

The straight and narrow fast water channel on the northern perimeter of discovery bay leads out to some thing like 2,000 miles of rivers and sloughs that make up the Sacramento delta. There are a few open water spots that stretch several miles across but not many, especially in the north and east side of the delta.

see the Attached screenshot.

Yes. Are there homes on the water in rio vista?
No. There are homes close to the water, but no water access. There is in Isleton and Ryde. I'm sure you've seen those. As a side note, there is a SH** load of debris in the water. I'm not heading out in the sloughs anytime soon.

A recent ferry ride between Grand Isle, VT and Plattsburg, NY. Keeping a channel open in the cold weather.

Not too sure if I want to do much outside today.

Was headed back from Green Bay a few hours ago, and I was getting -14 on the truck's outside temp. It's warmed up, and now it's only -8. Gotta buy some more propane for the torches later on tonight so I can keep working.

NYC Boat Show

You’ve got a heck of a winter blast headed your way. A fair amount of snow, with high winds. Take care!

Thought that engine looked familiar but the one in your pic looks bigger. The price of the dinky one iat the bottom of my pic is blurry, it’s $106k

About the NYC Boat Show - Yamaha had a pretty strong presence.

I absolutely loved the new 255X - what a gorgeous boat. First time I had seen one in person and... I'm in love. I forgot to take pics, and don;t even know if it was a 255XD or XE, but it is AMAZING.

The new AR250 - not so much. Seems very plain and the rear compartments are gone - what a waste of space. Why do they do this?
Maybe to improve sound insulation? (that would make some sense, to better enclose the engine compartment, but so much storage space is gone)

Well that did not last long. This rarely happens. I can not remember the last time it closed. It's been very cold here.

Update: They removed the issue and reopened the service around 8am this morning.
