I’ve hiked miles of tubing, squirrel nicks and deer chews to get the vacuum up to 27”. Happy, but I know there are a few more leaks somewhere out there.

The vacuum check last night. Big sap run happening.

At least one of the leaks froze up overnight. This mornings check. 4800 gallons in the tank in 24hrs.

My wife and I are currently on a Viking Cruise - our first since our honeymoon 30+ years ago. Love the small boat, around 900 passengers - great place to chill.

edit - just found out this voyage has only about 620 passengers!

Claire and I have always enjoyed cruising on Viking as they are a class act. Please be sure to post photos. On a side note Claire and I are also taking our first cruise since the pandemic in Nov on the MSC line. the Cruise is out of Istanbul and goes to Greece and Italy.

That’s awesome - enjoy the round with your grandfather asap - that’s PRICELESS
What I wouldn't give to be able to play one more round with my Grandfather....

7000TL quickjacks. I've been wanting these ever since they came out. Hate spending the money as they're pricey AF, but getting older and laying down on the ground to work on stuff sucks. Also my floor jack started leaking. A good one of those is easily a couple hundred, so might as well go all out.

And yes the Vette is back for a ceramic coating which I'll start tomorrow on.
I use these in my shop at home. I too owned a detail shop, specializing in paint correction. Covid ruined me, but whatever... I love the Quickjacks. I use them for detailing my own car now... Or in this particular case, my oil change... 20230321_185058.jpg

My wife and I are chilling in Philipsburg, St. Maarten, waiting for the crew to get the ship ready for us to leave. No excursions for us, today, as we will just visit the shops and walk the beach. No other ships in port today, so should be very pleasant in town. Partly cloudy but otherwise a beautiful day!64C2751D-5D82-4CD0-A08E-3641DB93FE92.jpeg

Nice! Detailing is a young mans game. I don't even really do it on the side anymore. Just did it for this one buddy of mine cause he's basically family. I do my own stuff, and that's it. Working full time and then working in the garage another 30 hours on the weekend is rough. Worked myself sick on this car last time. Just now getting over the funk from wearing myself out. Sucks! I've only ever heard positive things about the quickjacks. Excited to try them out. Need to do the brakes on my truck. It's also time to redo the ceramic coating on my wheels. Have a few scuffs on the truck too. So it's time to polish it out and install a new coating on that too. Then need to check into a brake squeak when backing up on our jeep. These will make those jobs so much easier.

Love it! I am getting one today too.? Gonna knead a report back. They don't last long around here.

it didn't last long around here either, side note, don't schedule bread finishing time to be at 9pm, eating 2 1/2 pieces and trying to go to bed is not a good recipe,

it turned out very good, a little bland and a little spongy/dense but the crust was GREAT,
the dutch oven got caught on the heating element during preheat because she used a high rack, so we lost a lot of heat in the 5 minutes to get the lid unstuck from the element and moving the rack lower,

Still waiting on the rise. 50% wheat flour.

Tastes great, not sure I would put this loaf in the same category as “pool filter dog finds” but it does look better than the bucket of dough. Lol

I installed a 6" lift on my Tundra with these Jacks... You can do so much with these!!!

's funny the little things that you notice - your oil change pan, I've got the same one, and an open-top version as well for stuff like coolant. I've used others, and when helping my kid, he had some small rectangle one, and I told him that thing was a piece of crap after using it. Got him one of those, and he's sold on it too. Really, just a small thing in life, but the lack of hassle is worth every penny when using it.

This thing turned out amazing. Ceramic coating is on. I'm glad I'm done. Found a few spots the PPF guy is going to have to fix, but all in all he did an amazing job. I'm glad to be done with this and ready for it to head home with its owner so I can have my garage back.

Spring is in the air. A lot of Canada geese flying North today. 3rd V I saw this morning on the dog walk. @Coult45 how about down your way?

I just got this stuff in the mail. The new tow ball has a zirk fitting, interesting.

the only thing interesting about the plastic wheel (one of two for a Fulton F2 trailer Jack) is the price, $32 from Amazon. I think I’ve seen trailer jacks for less.

This loaf did not last 48 hrs. Finished it off this morning with some maple syrup.

Interesting. I didn't see ANY the last couple of days. Might have been too windy. Nothing in the sky besides a few hawks and eagles who love the windiest days. The past few weeks, the Canada geese have moved back and forth between the water and the corn fields a few times a day. But nothing up high on a big move day yet. The snow geese have been tormenting me. They're loud as hell on the water at night, but they head off to dry land every morning before there's enough light to get a good picture. And they only stick around for a week or so most years, so I may have missed my shot. The sound of thousands of wings pulling hard when they all take off at once is amazing, and the snow geese do that a lot. Something triggers them, and they all take off from the water at once, swirl around for a few minutes, making all kinds of noise (probably blaming each other for being jumpy) then land again. Very cool to see.

John, that sounds like a fun cruise. :)

We are a week into our Viking cruise and are having a great time.
