Played in the Veteran Golf Tour charity golf tournament today. Froze my ass off in 48F and 25 mph winds today!!!! But it was nice supporting other Veterans! View attachment 196080
The 992 white on black is something I am considering, great looking car. Looks like a 964 maybe down at the end though. That is the best car there lol.
We never Ice fished all Winter, due to warm weather. We had to wait until Spring for good ice. 15” out here. Catching a bunch of little perch and northern pike.
You can see the fish come off the bottom to hit the jig.
I experienced my 1st real earthquake. There was a 5.9 earthquake not too far from here. I woke up at 4:20 AM with my bed moving hard. I'm on the 22nd floor so it's a lot stronger. I marked on the map where I am living. I heard something loud in the building, idk what it was. I don't think earthquakes are common here.. My friend says she woke up to her windows cracking and moving.
Stopped by the dam to see if there were any eagles feeding. No eagles, but this seagull made me laugh. That fish is way too big for him, but he's like "I got this"...

I would like to bring my bike here. I'm currently in the process of finding friends that bike and have a car lol.
It's a great place to live if you make US dollars. For that reason there's a lot of foreigners here in Colombia. But I've focused on making Colombian friends here so I can reach fluency in Spanish. I was lucky to make some friends that take salsa/bachata dancing seriously so that's been an experience. Also I've been traveling to different parts of Colombia and meeting lots of cute women in the clubs here (there's a lot of places to party any day of the week). And overall just enjoying the weather, atmosphere, and cheap eats (healthy food delivered to my door is $5-7, fancy dinner date with bottle of wine is less than $70). Also I've met some interesting people, some just passing through the city, and others that live here. I met a cool colombian girl here that is living in France. Beautiful. I'm patiently waiting for her to visit again
A funny thing that is happening is nobody expects that I'm American. They all guess either France or Brazil. All the time living in Brazil has changed my Spanish accent. My Spanish tutor here thinks it's really interesting. And what doesn't help, is sometimes Portuguese words are finding their way into my Spanish lol
Anyways, here is a picture I took from my apartment in Milla de Oro. I caught some lightning over the mountains. I need to remember to take and post more pictures of Colombia.
My wife and I are currently on a Viking Cruise - our first since our honeymoon 30+ years ago. Love the small boat, around 900 passengers - great place to chill.
Jim
edit - just found out this voyage has only about 620 passengers!
My wife Found this little guy in our toilet right before bed. To say my wife was freaked out would be an understatement. This is at our Balinese style open air villa in Roatan. You stay in these cribs you better be prepared to become one with the jungle!
7000TL quickjacks. I've been wanting these ever since they came out. Hate spending the money as they're pricey AF, but getting older and laying down on the ground to work on stuff sucks. Also my floor jack started leaking. A good one of those is easily a couple hundred, so might as well go all out.
And yes the Vette is back for a ceramic coating which I'll start tomorrow on.
