How did you guys install the holders for the shore spikes.

Mine are bolted through with #10SS bolts/washers/nuts to the panel.

Bolt is probably best but I used a 1" stainless self tapper

Coming up on a year and several trips with no issues. Holds the boat pretty well in the S.FL. sandy beaches.
Lots of people give me curious looks when I'm banging the spike into the sand and they are using anchors. But it holds and its easier to see than an anchor in my opinion.

Just an observation. I tried to mount mine on my 212SE, but they deck is much shallower and it wouldn't fit. If you look at @Sotally Tober rear hatch area, it looks to be about 6 inches deep.

Your are right that look like 6 inch deep I don't think it will fit on mines I will try tonight

this is waaaaay impressive, really well done. more money than i can afford to spend on audio but suspect it helps mute the engine noise
i am thinking about removing the articulating keel / rudder and adding thrust vectors to our 2019 ar240 that we just purchased. the steering is really tight so i removed the rod attaching the rudder to the starboard steering and it is smooth as butter whereas the articulating keel is very stiff. any tips for removing the rudder and are you happy with how the boat handles with this swap?

I added a 2nd tie rod and Cobra fins....much better steering now....especially low speed tracking! Far less serpentine!

I'd look into why your rudder is stiff and correct that vs removing it.

2nd tie rod def crossed my mind but the fact that the rudder is so tight is concerning. could be that it has been run aground and is binded a bit but it isnt visible to the naked eye. figured if i remove it and add twin thrust vectors id be good if not better

The hatch just barely touches the rubber mount on the handle side of the anchor but it doesn’t hold it open or interfere at all.

I lost and then forgot about the bungee. Came on here to figure out how you all got the rubber clamp tight enough to hold the pointy end of the anchor securely…I’m dumb.

I'm going to give it another try, I might of of purchased one that is obviously too big.

Very cool build ST! Great seeing all your additions and changes. Two quick questions & thoughts:

Where'd ya get those iPhone holders? That's a neat idea.

and

you may want to take a moment to get some battery terminal covers for the additional batteries you installed under the bow seat. I noticed your + terminals are expense and if something happens to drop on them...you may be in sparksville.
